September 18, 2002 at the Bowery Ballroom. Never missed a Bowery show and while this may not quite measure up to 10/31/2003 or 1/1/2005, it was a great one:

that's cool! my brother and uncle were both at that show. Me and my best friend saw em two days later in Nashville on the same tour. All I can remember is that DBT were ten times better than both of those bands put together!!

Did they used to play shorter sets or something? Seems like there are several here that feature less than 20 songs. I didn't make it to any of the Isbell era shows but I thought they used to play three hour shows pretty regularly in those days.

Seems like many of these first shows were as openers or festival sets, hence shorter set lists.

IMO it was a criminally short set but it was an opening act set so it was to be expected I guess. DBT and Robert Randolph were tremendous, no idea what the crowes were like since I decided boozing out in the lot ( when you still could do that, thanks a lot Ozzfest for fucking that up) would be a lot more fun than sitting through the black crowes.
