Chicago Show -- Oct. 24
The Chicago show has been moved to the Vic from the Riv. I was suspecting that might happen, as the Riv seems awfully big for them to play (2,500 capacity) and I don't think they sold out the Vic (capacity 1,300) last Halloween.
More importantly, who is in for the Rawk show? Me and the Ms shall be there with a couple of friends. See y'all in Cooleyville.

The Mrs. and I are also in. Will be our 4th show at the vic including last halloween. They always put on a great show there. Thanks for the headsup on venue.

Is it safe to assume my tickets for the Riviera are good for this show?

Yep, according to the Riviera web site. That's how it typically works when they make a venue change around here.

I'll be there. Bringing Drifter along for good measure

I'm fairly sure you have me confused with somebody else If you only knew how sports-apathetic I am you would understand the laughter But don't get me wrong, I'll still take your beer.

Does he still have the awesome dancing girlfriend?
Watching her shake a leg with WW Bill after the Halloween show
last year is permanently etched into my brain.
Don't hurt people, and don't take their stuff.

Oops, my bad. What can I say, all you guys from Iowa look alike to me. I owe Iowan a beer from a basketball bet.
The last time I saw you, we were both doing our share of beer drinking on the rail at some casino in Iowa. It will be good to see you again, and the first beer is definitely on me!

I am flying to Chicago from the UK on Monday for business, until Thursday night. Since I won't be flying home until the weekend, that means I can see the Truckers, so this will be the highlight of the trip. Got the ticket printed, roll on Friday! Not often it works out right. Would love to haver done The Beacon, Ryman etc, but have to work.

Mostly lurker here - I'll be at the Chicago show on Friday as well. I was surprised that it was originally announced at The Riv as well - for the above reason that last year's Vic show on Halloween was not sold out (though it was a weeknight.)
I wonder why they're not selling quite like they did here a few years back. They did a 2-night stand at the Vic a couple years back and both shows were packed.
Also, been perusing some of the setlists from the Fall Tour so far and they seem to be very short? Usually like 19-21 songs, I feel like we usually get 25+ songs, sometimes over 30 when they really have one of those epic nights.

In for tonight! Hoping for a good crowd - I thought the crowd at last year's incredible "Stones" Halloween show was a little disappointing.
Does anyone have an educated guess on stage time for DBT tonight? Have weekend nights been different than weekdays? I'm coming solo following an 8:00 dinner so will likely be cutting it close around 10:15.
1 vote here for a set list similar to last night's in columbus - Wow!

My guess is they will hit the stage around 9:30 or so. Houndmouth should be on by 8:15 and done around 9:00.

FWIW, last night went:
7:00 - Doors
8:00-8:45 - Houndmouth
9:15P-11:45 - DBT
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

Agreed on last year's crowd. Very subpar. When I walked into the venue I expected to have to go upstairs - walked straight down and ended up 3 rows back just to the left of Patterson. I attributed it to being a weeknight/holiday. Hope we have a much better showing tonight! Want to make sure the band knows they need to keep coming back here every year.
Re: Chicago Show -- Oct. 24
Thanks, all! I'll have to revise my set list hopes and ask that they start slow tonight since I'm going to miss the beginning of the show . Enjoy the rock show!

The boys were on top of their game last night. And Houndmouth was a very solid opener. Not sure if the Vic was sold out, but it was pretty full and the crowd was energetic. Good seeing Coach and GW.

What Mr. B said! The wife and I both thought it was one of the best shows we had seen for a while. The band was smokin and I thought it might have been my favorite set of Patterson songs I have witnessed. Great surprise with The Southern Thing and loved hearing Feb 14. Both cases only my second time seeing those. The encore was really rockin and the crowd was very energetic and it seemed especially Cooley was playing to the crowd and having a blast. As other posters have said....when the show starts with Lookout Mtn. you are in for a special night.
