This will be my 18, 19th and 20 Fillmore shows all the way from Surrey BC ! Its one of the best venues on the west coast.
I believe April Twister from Ontario is going.
Which I think means Mr. April Twister, too.
True, it's been so long since he's been 'round these here parts I had forgotten Mr. Twister's s/n. Now that I think about it though it should be Mr. Twister.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved
i asked the wife "do you wanna go friday and Saturday? she said "i dont wanna go 2 nights in a row", I said OK what are YOU doing saturday night. she said O_o
I would like to apologize to anybody that I have not offended. Please be patient, I will get to you.
So Lucero just announced a bunch of 3-night runs they're doing in a few cities, including at Slim's in San Francisco on November 21-23, which overlaps 2 of the 3 nights DBT's playing there. Very odd.

are you suggesting special guests / sit ins? cause I'd be down for that.

Pretty sure he means it will cut into someone's ticket sales
Tickets arrived yesterday, not sure if I've ever had my ducats in hand so far in advance.
Lucero on Sunday would be fun, but after three nights of the RAWK Show and hanging out in San Francisco, I will be retreating back home to put the pieces back together. Does anyone know if they are filming these shows? Just curious.
Looking forward to seeing all y'all...
take a deep breath and throw yourself into it with everything you got...it's great to be alive!

Any possibility they pull an MMJ and do 3 nights of no repeats? They have enough songs. That would truly make this something special, not that it isn't already, but come on. If you got ticks for 3 nights, and no repeats. Fogettaboutit.

I think it's an insult to even request this! If you go all 3 nights, you're pretty much guaranteed to hear your favorite Truckers' song. When it comes to setlists, they ain't no MMJ..
So I see a doors at eight/show at nine for Thursday night. I'm trying to minimize my out work time used here. How late do you locals figure I could land at SFO and make at least the main set? Alternatively, should I (horrors!) ditch the Thursday show altogether and arrive in a leisurely manner on Friday?
The sooner we put those assholes in the grave&piss on the dirt above it, the better off we'll be

I'm not a local but it and looks like you need to give yourself 1.5-2 hours post flight to get there. I would opt to take the BART to Mission or Powell St and walk it or cab it. Flight should get in no later than 7. If you're Uncle Middle Rail Spot Ricky and Up front share the mic and bottle Cooley Girl, you will get in Tues AM...well...because you're you..I mean them.

I understand that travel to SF in November is not the same as traveling to Athens in winter, but if there are any lessons to be learned from recent Homecomings they would be (a) don't miss homecoming and (b) cutting travel too close is a recipe for disaster. And there's nothing about the current state of the US transportation system to encourage confidence about the latter even if it's not snowing at the time.
What used to be is gone and what ought to be ought not to be so hard

Those aren't walking distances, so don't try it. By the time you figured out it was going to take you a long time, you'd be out of range of anywhere you could easily find a taxi. Otherwise sound advice, though. Just hop in a cab from Mission BART. I think an hour would be plenty of time, but take into account the variables - whether or not you check your bag, what the schedule is for train departures at that time of night, how plentiful cabs might be once you hit the city.
What are your choices for arrival times?

I stay quite near the Mission BART station, so my plan was to drop off my baggage and depart from there--call that thirty minutes added to the schedule.
If I had all the leave time in the world, I'd leave at noon and arrive at a quarter till five. 1:30 gets me in at 5:10, 2:55 at 8:09, 3:25 at 9:26, 4:25 at 9:19, all at SFO. I'm not planning to ride the rail the first night, though stranger things have happened.

If you can make either of those first two flights, you should be fine, John. BART might be your best option for getting from SFO to the mission that time of day. Also-
