No stream and no recording folks (not a big surprise in light of the recent announcement). Just wait for the live release (Hey Patterson--how 'bout a 6 vinyl box set)
Always go to the show

recent announcement?

EDIT: Nevermind, hadn't seen it. Figured something like that would have its own thread

It was mentioned in this thread.

There's a real nice write up on the DBT's at RollingStone.com that I posted in the DBT's Articles thread that figured would be the topic of conversation but no one's said a word. I wondered if it was more appropriate to post it there or to start a new thread but opted to post it in the existing thread. Kinda like the Jason Skynyrd celebration at the Fox thread. Not sure why there's two of those going. More often than not as of late, I just choose not to post stuff of that nature at all. I believe most people are still more apt to post on FB or Twitter than this board.

Maybe so, KG, but I will never see those. I enjoyed the RS read, thanks.

For probably the first time ever, I'm not all that excited about a Truckers release (the new deluxe edition of English Oceans). While I'm sure I'll pick it up eventually, I'm much more excited about the upcoming live album. I hope it gets released on DVD as well. Hell, I'd be content with an official release of that concert that Yahoo aired recently.

For a variety of reasons--mostly that I'm so bummed the hot tub is gone--I'm thinking about staying somewhere other than my friend's this time around. Has anyone gotten a particularly good deal? (Or a moderately good deal that comes with a hot tub. I'm getting single-minded in my senescence.)

Anyone need a ticket for lucero on Sunday night? I'll be at the Fillmore on Friday and Saturday and we could meet up then. $25, save you $5 on the charges.

I disagree with Mr. pa_, I want you all to have so damn much fun you need a live recording just to prove the whole thing really happened

So glad I won't be at the Fillmore to see that over-rated band Drive-By Truckers record their live album. And San Francisco? Boring! Along with all of those uptight DBT fans that tend to descend on the city every time they show up. Geez, grow up and get a life! ;)

Despite my severe J&J (jealousy & jonesing) I'm there in spirit through the 4 newbies I'll be sending to the shows (2 on friday, 2 more on saturday). I've already told 'em where to find youze guys at the show (you're just SO predictable) but if there are any pregame activities please post here so I can tell them about those as well.

Free advice: Yelling "freebird" or "outfit" is unlikely to get you on to the record.

Have a great time folks; enjoy it for yourselves and for us poor benighted souls who either have or don't have lives (i'm not sure which way this goes) and don't forget to report in.

Anyone else notice that the only people posting here are the ones who aren't going? Wonder how the other half lives.? :)

I'm still in the DFW airport. I'm not waiting on a lady. I'm just waiting on a part. And I'm getting updates from home that my asshole, idiot friend finally managed to find someone among his brand-new barhopping buddies to take him to his filthy, uninhabitable, condemned home where he will be arrested if found inside. I can't even.

Since they're recording these shows I feel obliged to say this:

If any of you are compelled to yell "WOOOOOOOOOOO!" during a quiet song, you deserve what's coming to you
