The Beacon Theater in the Big City! I'm hearing Ronnie Hawkins at The Last Waltz saying "big time, Bill, big time!"

Anyone know who will be opening?
The Silks are opening in Pawtucket at The Met and I could not be more excited!!. These guys are friends of mine and one of my favorite bands going right now. Such a perfect fit to open for DBT. Paul Westerberg produced their album Last American Band and it is Killer. They also were just asked to the Americana music festival in Nashville in Sept which is a high honor. Check them out and get to the show in time to see them.backroads wrote:beantownbubba wrote:Pawtucket RI? How the hell are they even going to find it? I'll be there waiting, guys.

I should be there! Never been to the Met and it's a heck of a lot closer than Toad's Place! Looking forward to it!
For those coming to Nashville, the main Gibson factory is here. I can check on tour availability if you guys want. Not sure whether they do them regularly, but I've done one in the distant past. In fact, I was just there yesterday to pick up a shipping carton for a Melody Maker I bought for a friend of mine in Mobile ($250 at a pawn shop).Clams wrote:Nice. You know, the Martin Guitar factory and museum is only 10 or 15 miles away in Nazareth, PA and I've always wanted to visit. Hmmmm.Jonicont wrote:Another double header with Clams. Btw this will make 5 DBT shows for eastern/central PA within a year (2 Philly, Lancaster, State College and Bethlehem). Thank you DBT!
Giving them a listen now. Thanks!bold99 wrote: The Silks are opening in Pawtucket at The Met and I could not be more excited!!. I wouldn't count on it.misterbrow wrote:NYE run in DC would be nice, but that's months from now.
Rams Head Baltimore is open for the night before heading to Delaware then Virginia...
I worry about NYE in DC. That means someone has to leave the band right? JKgepman wrote:I wouldn't count on it.misterbrow wrote:NYE run in DC would be nice, but that's months from now.

Just played DC twice in March. Just played Ram's Head in June. And Delaware is a "near" to both.
Not to mention recent shows in Lancaster and State College PA, plus future shows in Philly and Bethlehem Pa.
Outside chance for DC at NYE, fingers are crossed...
They could always hire someone for a one-off, kind of like how (I'm told) some Japanese companies hire someone to fire and take all the blame when a major project goes south. (And does anyone know if this is true or not? I remember hearing it from somewhere reputable but I can't remember where.)misterbrow wrote:I worry about NYE in DC. I will be in Charlotte too, hopefully they will do a Halloween show in Charlotte. I would make a whole weekend out of it! Make it happen!sideburn wrote:Well the email yesterday confirmed a Halloween show. Waiting patiently to hear venue, but barely. In for Charlotte and hopefully 31st.
I suspect the Halloween show will be taking place a little southwest of Charlotte...possibly 200 miles southwest of CharlotteChrisGravity wrote:

There was indeed an electric alarm clock visible from the audience sitting on the stage in Springfield. Show started at 9:24 and ended (I think--I was a little fuzzy by then) at 11:34. Sorry, but I didn't clock the encore break.LBRod wrote:Some of these shows have had curfew issues.

Given that there was no gear theft involved, I'm betting on that guy who yelled "Marry me!" at the keyboard player from the far stage right balcony.Zip City wrote:
