Lock'n could contribute to poor attendance also, so Greenfield Lake Amp is probably a better choice than Ziggy's

Why do you say that. Capacity at Ziggy's is 740, GFL is 901 seated, plus probably another 100-150 standing.

Anyway, I'm in for this.

I believe GFL will draw more people because it's laid back and an early show. A lot of younger folk I know (going to lock'n) would prefer Ziggy's for a late show & downtown bars.

I'm probably in, but really want to catch an ABB show this year and Lock'n may be my only chance

Yea, maybe.

On a semi-related note.... Shovels and Rope are playing Ziggy's on Sept 18th...might want to grab those tix before they sell out. I have a feeling this might be the last tour to catch them in a venue that small.

There are 8 more shows scheduled for the ABB. The rescheduled Beacon shows and a few more dates added in October (6 total - 4 sold out), a festival in Pennsylvania in August and the Lockn show. That's it. The end.

We're almost certainly in for this but I am a little worried about the 10:00 PM curfew. If there's no opening band it won't matter. But if there is? Driving a few hours and getting a hotel for a truncated DBT show might not be worth it. I guess I'm probably a little spoiled because they play the southeast so often. In the end, we'll most likely be there.

Gonna have to miss it due to Hopscotch as I'm helping to host a Guitartown day party at the Berkeley that same day.

As for an opener, none is listed on either the DBT's website or the one for Greenfield. That's not to say one won't be added at a later date though. I've never really been bothered by shows ending there at 10, it leaves time to go out and see more music after the show.

Can't have it both ways. At least they started the show early to accommodate for the opening act and the DBT's getting to play a full set.

Great venue. Curfew compensated by early start. We will be grilling there. Great place to tailgate as long as you can home your liquor. Saw them on 4/20 a couple of years ago. It will be Jewell's first show since getting sick early this year. Details to follow. We are going to put on the dog with the grill.

Lol! No. She's too old and tough. She is my drinking buddy, too. She will listen to me babble all night and never complain. Great for discussing politics with.

not sure if I'm losing my mind, but spoon is now on the 5th (Friday). Could have sworn it was originally on Sat.

Just as a heads up...at the recent Mule show they were doing strict pocket checks/pat downs/bag checks. If you're trying to smuggle something in either try hard or don't bother. Wasn't gestapo-level but they were not turning a blind eye. Even gave me a hard time over sealed bottled water.

This show will be a last minute decision for us, though we are almost certainly in.

Same here! It will be my first DBT show! I've been counting down the days for months.

Never been to Greenfield Lake Amphitheater either, don't know what to expect, but excited nonetheless.

We plan on getting there right around doors which I believe is 6:00. I suspect Tyler and others may get there earlier than that though.

We've had spotty showers this morning but hopefully it will clear up in time for the rock show.

I hope the weather cooperates. This will be the 1st time we've seen DBT in an outdoor venue. I would have preferred Ziggy's By the Sea but it's been over 2 months since our last Rawk Show so I'll take what I can get lol
