Holy Shit, I just realized that this is tomorrow! Goddamn that's a good feeling. It's been a miserable week, and I started my work week on Sunday to make sure I had things done in time for the rock show. I've been looking forward to this for so long it seems impossible that it's nearly go time. In case anyone's wondering who I am, I'll be the guy in blue jeans with a beer singing along to every damn song from somewhere near the front - preferably the rail. Vague enough for you?

Of course this is the forecast......Weather.com says 90% chance of heavy snow from 3-6pm tomorrow in Mpls. Come prepared if you are going to be waiting outside and earn that rail!!!

Pending tonight's setlist, I am currently not regretting my choice of Madison over MPLS. I drove home through a blizzard after a DBT show in MKE a few years ago. NOT fun.

Nice to see the band sell out in a Northern market.

Got up here about an hour ago. No snow yet. Fingers crossed, as I'm heading back to Iowa at 5AM to beat morning traffic, picking up the wife early, and then making a day of it in Madison.

Where are ya at? I just took a cruise through the skyway to take a peek at the 1st Ave. I'm damn near giddy.

At my brother's place off River Parkway. Heading to a friends place in Uptown around 4 for some pre gaming, and then moving in closer to First Ave as the hour approaches.

I'll either be wearing a dark blue t shirt that says "Cresco Fire and Rescue" or a blue hoody with a Toppling Goliath brewing logo on the back. 6'1", 220, brown hair. Recent pic in the "picture of yourself" thread. Don't be afraid to say "hi". Will have a beer in hand all night.

I haven't picked out my outfit yet, but if you get accosted by a 5' 9" blonde dude don't panic. Likely accessories will either be a Grain Belt or PBR.

My work schedule wouldn't have enabled me to do it, but that is why you don't miss Rawk shows. My bro in law texted me earlier this morning and said it was the best First Ave show he had seen. I hope that all attendees utilized the ballpark style beer vendors mightily. Fucking love First Ave.

What a night, almost 3 hours of RAWK! My highlight was when Patterson called out the dick in the front: "Hey Mother F*cker, I've been watchin' you and you've been acting like a douche bag all night. GET THE F*CK OUT!!! Oh yeah, Blitzen Trapper was pretty good, too!

Yeah. They drug him out right past my group and he was defiantly trying to finish his beer with his one free hand.

That was easily the maddest I've ever seen Patterson and or Cooley.

What a fucking set. That was ridiculous. They were absolutely in a zone out there. In other news, I feel like shit. Currently about 45 miles from Madison. Wife is driving. I left Minneapolis at 5AM, hung the fuck over.

My voice is gone... I fucking love the First Ave.

I scored the screen printed poster number 22. She'll look great in my den.

I ran into Erik from Blitzen Trapper towards the end of the DBT encore - Real nice guy. He was pretty impressed with DBTs stamina last night too.

No time for asshattery at the rock show! A packed floor is no place for bumping, pushing, which I'm guessing is what was happening? I love how the band calls the idiots out on that....it's just not safe and kills the moment. Anyway, after they tossed the guy, Cooley said something about how his children act the same way, they just weigh less!

During the encore, it just kept going and going and going! I kept thinking Grand Canyon was going to be next and that would be it...cuz, well, it's a Thursday, there has to be some curfew, etc. But then they played another, and then another, and then People Who Died came, and I thought they were changing it up and that would be it, but, no, more!!!

I also loved how they ended the show with the one at a time walk-off. Giving each guy their moment to wave, bow, leave the stage. I don't know, but I just thought that was cool.

On to Madison!
