I was going to post it but I thought I'd leave California to the Californians.

How provincial of you.
The Sweetwater goes on sale on Patterson's site tomorrow. Not sure about the City Winery, as there is a Vinophile only sale on right now. It doesn't say when they're on sale to the general public.
Anybody know what VIP gets you at the various City Wineries? Thanks. S'only 25 bucks.

Good news! The Napa venue used to be the Opera House, a nice sit down theater.

Purchased!
Very annoying that the City Winery has reserved VIP tix but no seating chart.

I've seen a few shows at City Winery in Chicago, including Patterson and the Downtown Rumblers. Assuming the set up is the same, I don't feel as though the VIP gives you any true advantage whatsoever. The VIP section is only slightly elevated, behind the "Premium" table seats which are directly in front of the stage. I guess the only advantage (if you could call it that), is that the VIP tickets are 2 person tables as opposed to 4 person tables in the "Premium" seats. I would imagine that you likely have no problems filling a 4 person table and even if you did not, would likely enjoy sitting with strangers and being closer to the stage.

Now I might go buy a different ticket!

Re: Patterson in the Wine Country pre-Willie
I really can't tell. Patterson's pre-sale has only VIP tickets available, and they seem to be a mix of 4 and 2 person tables. I think I bought a solo at a 4-person. Maybe I will make some new friends. It's seat 21, but that means fuck-all without a seating chart. It was the lowest number on sale, so maybe it's the second row of tables, which seems fine.

I got seat 23, so you might be stuck with old friends. We are going to have to show up and find out.

I am going to have to figure out a way to make this happen.
Re: Patterson in the Wine Country pre-Willie
Thanks for the heads up guys...
Grabbed tix to both yesterday.
For the Napa show i ended up with a table for two seats 7 & 8.
From previous posts, looks like i whiffed and missed out on sitting up front.
Kinda bummed there was no seating chart available to help make an informed decision.
Oh well, still stoked to have a couple extra shows to take the sting out of the 'opening act' show w/ Willie.
Let the countdown begin.
Also, does anyone have any insight into accomodations in Napa?

Not me BK, i just went through Patterson's site and was able to purchase.
At first there was only one option for tables, but after reading the thread i went back and saw the diffent table options, even though it doesn't tell you where the seats/tables are...pretty confusing.
Hope to see you there bro...

Those could be the best seats in the house! We have no idea.
I sort of figure you are front row and I am second or off to the side. That is ok by me.
Are you not going to Sacramento? It's a Friday night, I think.

I think, based on the earlier post, that you and Rod will be up front and we'll be a little further back, but, it really doesn't matter, just want a show or two and to see some familiar faces, going to be fun. I'm stoked about the Sweetwater too, havent been to the new location.
We are going to Sacramento, but may miss the Wille show depending on some outside factors, that';s why i'm so stoked about the Patterson Solo, not exactly a RAWK Show, but will hold usover until the 25th...

Hey fellow 'Californians' (can't help but think of the Soap Opera Parody on SNL) as i type this...
Anyway, its less than 3 weeks away and just wanted to see if anyone had any lodging suggestions for the Napa show?
Thanks, we are looking forward to seeing you all at the shows...

Everything is expensive there. The two-star Best Western is $150.
I only live 45 minutes away, so I'll be driving back and forth. You might consider staying in a different county.

I have stayed here in Napa.

About a mile to the venue. Nothing fancy, but my room was clean.
Good deal for that fancy town.

Hey Peter,
I got a room for my brother and I at the Best Western down by Marine World. It is about 15 miles south of Napa but a helluva lot cheaper than any rooms there.
OBL and Rod,
I purchased 2 tix for the show, seats 22 & 24, and from what I can tell we will all be at the same table.

I finally did see the seating chart appear, and we're second table back, the middle of three tables on the left-hand side of the room. We are, indeed, all at one table.
Peter G is right next to us, all the way to the left, because, in their infinite wisdom, the tables are not numbered across the stage from left to right or right to left, but in rows going back, starting with the table closest to the stage at the top of this chart:

Re: Patterson in the Wine Country pre-Willie
So, listen: I did my very best to justify making a trip out for these shows and just couldn't quite do it. I really, really wanted to make the Sweetwater show, as it's got kind of a special place in my heart, but I've got plans for Saturday and Sunday that I can't ditch. Daddy-daughter stuff Saturday, sermon out of town Sunday. But if I were there, I'd be doing one thing in particular that the rest of you probably wouldn't, and I'm going to ask you to do it for me: See if you can find the guy who took the video last year and see if you can get any extra footage out of him. You know what I want, and I could sure use it right about now.

Re: Patterson in the Wine Country pre-Willie
Oh, I know y'all don't know him. If you did, we'd've seen more (if it exists). What I was suggesting was more like this: Get some police uniforms and roust the club shortly after the encore. Seize everyone's video equipment and demand to check through it for copyright violations. If you find someone whose camera work looks like that guy's, hustle him out to an unmarked vehicle and question him while driving to Stockton. Tell him that if he comes through with more footage, you won't leave him at the bus station there to wait for a ride home. If he has the footage, thank him for it and give him the unmarked vehicle (which I presume is stolen) for a tip.
Why do I always have to spell this stuff out?
