Re: Winston-Salem - Ziggy's 6/20/14
Hope we can make this one, love Ziggy's and have seen the last 3 DBT shows there. But this is right around the time we go back to PA to pick up my kids for the summer. Hope we can swing it!
Turn you demons into walls of goddamned noise and sound.
Re: Winston-Salem - Ziggy's 6/20/14
So glad to see this show added. We're not traveling more than 100 miles for any shows this year (saving for a vacation next Jan.), and one in our backyard is definitely doable.
Re: Winston-Salem - Ziggy's 6/20/14
FYI- you can get print-at-home tickets already through Ziggy's site... http://www.Ziggyrock.net. Click to the June calender and then the show for tickets.

Re: Winston-Salem - Ziggy's 6/20/14
Can't believe this thread fell all the way off the front page. I wish it was two nights again like last year, but a short trip for a Friday night DBT show will do me right. Ziggy's has a great layout and good sound.
Now, for anyone who needs a hotel -- I just used Priceline Name Your Own Price bidding to book a room at the Marriott for $66/night for the weekend. I selected the Winston-Salem (Winston-Salem) zone and chose 3.5 stars. If you win a room this way, it's completely nonrefundable, so have your plans set in stone. However, it's a great deal to be a few blocks away from Ziggy's. Rooms are $129 on the Marriott website.
Hoping for a good turnout next Friday!

Thanks for the info, I've never used priceline...if I get a different 3.5 star motel, I'm obligated?
I have to make this one, work keeps blocking the rock.....but not this one. Hopefully in for some Lexington BBQ too.

Was at the 2 night run at Ziggy's a couple of years ago with LBIII opening both nights. Excellent venue, Finnigan's is fun. Power went out during Hell No 2nd night b/c some idiot pulled the fire alarm but it turned the night into something special. Best version of GFR I've heard.
Kick out the jams motherfuckers.

I've heard Lexington, NC has great bbq. Which places are most highly recommended? I'm hoping to have an early lunch there on Saturday before heading to Charleston, WV.

I lived in Lexington for 5 years though I'm not a fan of BBQ. This one is generally considered the best:

Lived within walking distance the entire time I lived there but never ate there lol. People rave about it, and it was featured on the Travel Channel.

When ordering at 'the monk' , as the locals call it, you can order the BBQ different ways. Chopped, course chopped, sliced, brown chopped, brown sliced. I like the brown course chopped sandwich with extra slaw. The brown BBQ is the outer part of the shoulder and is very smoky tasting. They have good cobbler too. And great ice tea that's not to sweet like most southern resteraunts. Get some 'skins' to go to munch on later

The good news is you can't go wrong with any of the BBQ joints in Lexington. I can highly recommend Smiley's.

On way to Winston with hubby and a DBT newbie. Should be a blast! We have a Platinum table with one opening, so PM if you'd like to get in on that. Last time it meant a side view (Jay's side) up close with a private access to the bar. No lines!

Re: Winston-Salem - Ziggy's 6/20/14
Heading to Finnigan's in about 90 minutes. Y'all heathens better have left us a table on the pub side. I like Don Chambers, but without GOAT, the ladder player, and shrooms, we're hoping to get to the back of the bar between sets.

I don't have a set list, but anytime you get A World of Hurt is a great night. Eight years later, and I still well up.
