This one's for John and Lorna, obviously. :D

For everyone else, you've got 6 months to figure out how to get over there. Tix on sale tomorrow, 10 am UK time according to ticketmaster.

The o2 presale today was via www.ticketweb.co.uk - another TM company but a little more efficient.

I'm in. Last time I saw them was August 2008 at Liquid Rooms in Edinburgh. Been too long!

2 tickets bought - £20 each, great value. Works out at about $32 of your US dollars for each ticket. What's the going rate for a DBT show in the US these days?

I recently saw Pixies at £32 per ticket. While it was a great show there is no way they are £12 per ticket better value than DBT, who will probably play at least an hour longer I reckon (hope).

Prices vary w/ location, but except for outliers like new year's eve shows, tickets seem to range between $25 and $35. I think I paid $30 for my last 3 shows.

Thanks, so pretty much the same price give or take.

£20 ($32) for these UK tickets is really great value then, given that I guess they will have many more financial overheads touring UK/Europe than they would do in the US.

My tickets arrived through the post this morning - only 6 months to wait now!!

I could have sworn I selected "standing" when I booked the tickets, but it appears I am in a seated area. Oh well, shit happens!

AWAKE! Feeling a little groggy. Thank God for the late-night kebab for hangover prevention. Packing up and readying for the airport; thankfully it's a quick flight. Should be in town early afternoon.

Almost lost for words, bit not quite!

The band - really up for it and on fire.
The venue - fantastic.
The sound - quieter than I've heard DBT shows in the past, but crystal clear.
Me - the best I've saw them
Matt and Jay - oh yeah.

Highlights = My Sweet Annette, MUEO, 18 Wheels of Love, Hell No I Aint Happy, Primer Coat and Grand Canyon. Patterson on great form between songs, especially his anecdote about 18 Wheels

Here's my post that got eaten by shitty wifi:

Set list went thusly:

Shit Shots Count
When He's Gone
Gravity's Gone
Drag the Lake Charlie
Primer Coat
My Sweet Annette
Uncle Frank
Puttin' People on the Moon
Made Up English Oceans
Girls Who Smoke
Hearing Jimmy Loud
Ronnie and Neil
72 (This Highway's Mean)
18 Wheels of Love
Marry Me
Hell No, I Ain't Happy
Encore:
3 Dimes Down
Let There Be Rock
Zip City
Grand Canyon

My Sweet Annette dedicated to John and Lorna. 18 Wheels of Love to Patterson's wife, and his mom, and moms everywhere, with a happy Mother's Day at the end, because moms are just the best. Grand Canyon was almost unspeakably great. What they're doing at the end is evolving and shifting and transmogrifying with every performance; last night's was loud and shreddy, epic and emotional. Best I've ever heard it.

John is the Beacon on here & Lorna is Lorna R on here. Fantastic people!

Shows have been out of this world, hard to put into words. Haven't had much WiFi access, so haven't been able to post much. Wish all of you were here!

The new drummer they mention in that review looks awfully like the old one! I guess any DBT review is a good thing, but even Wiki is more factually accurate! :D
