I couldn't possibly tell you, hell I can't even come up with an accurate number of shows I've been too (best guess is 89) but I'm thinking that Cooley Girl will get on up in here with some serious spreadsheet action pretty soon.

Huh, didn't know DBT played Let Me Roll It. Jerry Garcia Band did a nice version in '77-'78. Was that a Cooley or Patterson vocal?

It was actually Jason. And it was masterful. I know I saw it twice in Milwaukee. First time was at Shank Hall in 2005. The second time was at The Pabst Theatre in 2006 (url below). Both very good shows, but Let Me Roll It and a very early Dress Blues were a couple of the highlights.
I also know that I saw it in Athens in the fall of '06. Drove down for that run by myself. Early November I think.

The song quality on this Pabst Theatre show is pretty solid.

See, I was at that Pabst show and I didn't remember Let Me Roll It. The ghostly vestiges of my misspent youth coming back to haunt me I suppose. Y'all have more brain cells left than me.

I spent the 2006 Vic Theatre show, by you and Lester. I was with Shaun, Mr Fantasy, Jaime the Drummer, and Ian I believe. I remember us "evading the flashlight" that night. I didn't hang by you in Milwaukee, but the residuals might have carried over. :D

DiamondDave that's cool that you saw them do Birmingham. That's my top DBT song that I haven't seen them do. As I got my Pearl Jam song I was chasing this month (Oceans), maybe I'll get Birmingham before too much longer. :D

I feel that this is definitely a top five of the hundreds of recordings I've made over the years.

I saw them cover "In the Midnight Hour" for (as far as I know) the only time. My claim to fame. Olwiggum or Marklynn one are still supposed to send me that show. (Tipitina's in August '04)

Thanks for the links and feedback you guys! I feel like that's a fairly obscure cover but Jason did it well. That'd be a nice one for him to bring back w the 400 Unit.

OK, I'll share my geeky spreadsheet. :ugeek: It's sorted by the number of times we've heard the song, lowest to highest.
We've seen 121 shows so far, only one with Jason in the band. We were at the All Request show in Athens in 2009, so we heard some rare songs that night. This list does not include Patterson solo shows, or Downtown Rumblers shows, or in-store performances (unless the entire band was at the store). This list is DBT full band only.

We have 6 shows coming up, and are still chasing some non-Jason songs. I wonder if we'll hear one this time that we haven't heard before?

Bill in CT wrote:DiamondDave that's cool that you saw them do Birmingham. That's my top DBT song that I haven't seen them do. As I got my Pearl Jam song I was chasing this month (Oceans), maybe I'll get Birmingham before too much longer. :D

Bill....you just missed it!
It was one of the previous Cain's shows.....6-19-10

Hope you get yours next show!

It would be much easier to make a list of the songs I haven't heard. I started a list the other day quoting DiamondDave then adding the ones I've seen.
About the time my add on list got as long as DD's our computer crashed  and I wasn't finished yet. So fuck it. We were at the request show so we got some gems that night. Started seriously following the band during the DU tour where we got some great stuff including Birmingham in Birmingham.
I did see the band 6 times with Jason and have seen all his stuff off the 3 studio albums he did with them + Moonlight Mile and Let Me Roll It
I've seen 1 more show than Marina but stop counting after 50 something. Last time I made a spread sheet, about 10 shows back, Zip City was in the lead.
and the rest as they say is uh er uh, well somebodies history somewhere?

Off the top of my head I've never seen Wednesday, Goodbye, Loaded Gun and any of Jason's ABAAC tracks. I'm sure there's more, particularly rarities like Days of Graduation, 3 Great Alabama Icons & Demonic Possession, but I've always been lucky with setlists at shows. I'm most proud of the fact that besides the ABAAC tracks (I was "in the woods" during that period), I got to see all of Jason's songs with DBT.
E quindi uscimmo a riveder le stelle.

I've been lucky in that I've only seen 6 shows, but have heard some rarities. All shows were from BTCD forward, but I've heard Plastic Flowers twice (once as the show opener), Adam Raised a Cain twice, Wallace, I'm a Puppet....

Still chasing the Angels & Fuselage encore. I've always had either People Who Died or Buttholeville as closers
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever
