I've always been partial to Copabanana when going to the TLA. It's been there forever, the food, drink and prices are still good, and it's literally right next door to the venue. Plus it's where I first met BTB.

Ok, let's do it.

I'm still pondering this one; but I can't work out the logistics. I work 4:00 a.m. to noon, right next to Union Station in D.C. I could easily hop a train & get to Philly by 3:00 p,m, (in time to pregame). Then it gets dicey. If the show lasts till 1:30 or so, then the 1st train back to D.C. doesn't leave Philly until 4:40 a.m & arrives @ Union Station around 7. I don't care if I'm late for work; but waiting @ the train station for 3 hours (on zero sleep) doesn't seem enticing. Or I could drive up, but then I'd be driving back after an all-day & all-nighter. Even if I don't drink at all, this seems beyond my abilities (at my advanced age). Give me guidance, heAthens.

We've gotta figure this out. A DBT show is always Awesome, but without Slip there it's just not the same.

I would guess the show will end by 12 or 1230. I'd be surprised if it went to 130. What time is the latest train, Slip? Maybe u can make that one? ? ?

Bring along someone who can do the drive home?

Ask the Truckers to go on first?

I'm taking a 6:00 flight home the next day, so I might just forget about sleep until I'm on the plane. Though it sounds like I could take a 2-hour nap or something.

The last train leaves Philly @ 11:30. It looks like I'll have to drive. I can't pull the trigger on this show just yet (as much as I'd love to).

Glad y'all are being so helpful for Slip. Hell, I just want to know what Clams is bringing to the bus this time. Donuts? Pretzels? Cheesesteaks? Inquiring minds want to know.

I'm in for a meet up. Took the day before & day after to ensure a well rested good time. We also booked a hotel room to avoid the train schedule situation. Costs more, but well worth it.

Slip, I'd say you could stay with us, but I only got a single bed. Maybe you could hang out on the floor?

Can't wait to meet some local HeAthens!

O.K., so I've switched from trains to buses as potential transpo. I can go round trip from D.C. to Philly for like $35 (which is cheaper than tolls & gas & parking by a good bit). A bus leaves Philly @ 2:45 a.m. & gets me to D.C. by 6:00. I might even get a few winks in. This is looking more likely. Do buses have showers?

Slip, thanks for info, my son works and lives in DC now. This bus could be an option for him if he decides he wants to see this show.

I'm trying to get him to go, but now he's all worried about life now that he's on his own and starting a new job. I'll keep pestering him. By the way, J Roddy will be at the 930 on Thursday.

J. Roddy is @ the TLA on the 6th & I was just considering blowing off work on Wed. to stay for that show. The 9:30 show starts @ 10:00. Toad/Wet Sprocket has a show A 7:00 that night @ the 9:30. That's a weird combo. It is hard to pull off these shows and still maintain my life as a regular working dude.

Slip, you better check, I heard J Roddy was playing with Deer Tick at Union Transfer on the 6th. A better reason to hang in Philly another day.

By the way Headhunter, I'm glad your coming down as well.

Where's the sign-up sheet? I'll be there with my usual crazy friends. Clams, I think I owe you a beer. Even if I don't I'll try to find you. I don't think I've seen a show here.

Last time DBT played at the TLA was November 2011. It was Shonna's last show and, Scratch, I could have sworn you were at that show.

In for this one. Hotel booked. My wife and I will be getting to town early evening for pre-show action. This will be our first show since May & first Philly show. What are the hot spots close to the venue? FIRED UP!

I just got the VIP Sound deck upgrade. It is one of my usual spots at a DBT show but this venue charges extra for that area. They didn't say if there were chairs or stools in that area but The Matador always lets me set up my chair so I don't anticipate any problems.
