Really looking forward to these shows and to seeing all of you fine people.

Pilgrim (Paul's band) and Taxi Cab Verses (one of Craig's bands) will be playing a show on Thurs night at 9:00 PM at Flicker if anyone is in town early and not going to the Dexateens show.
Please support them if you can, it should be a fun time!
My flight lands in Atlanta at 11:30 PM on Thurs night, so I'm afraid I won't make it. I'll expect full reports from those of you who can. :)

Starting to get that low hum at the back of my skull that always comes right before an Athens run.
Time to get my ducks together and my shit in a row.

I really hate that me and Mrs. DPP are going to miss this one. The start of school is a hard time for educators to get away so it isn't going to happen. Maybe we have hope for a stream???? Enjoy!!

I should say my military co-workers are virgins to the Rock Show but this is my first time to see the Truckers at the Georgia Theatre...a bit off topic but what did y'all think about Patterson's essay in the Bitter Southerner? In my opinion, very well written...lot of talk concerning Athens and got me even more excited for this weekend.

I don't know. My time there will be pretty regimented, but I might find a free moment or two :)

Safe travels and have fun everyone.

I'm counting down the minutes until tomorrow afternoon when I'm freed from this office and head towards the Classic City :P Does anyone have any pre-show plans yet or any interest in meeting up before doors open? I've got to get past Scott Baxendale's place to pick up my Gibson but will be ready to go by 6:30 or so. Who's up for meeting up?

Frankly these people sound made up. Just like that Joe Mayo character.

Grumble, grumble--grubs again. My boss has asked me not to take Friday off. I sort of saw this coming, but I am bummed out anyway. Once again, no Dexateens for Johnnie. I think I am cursed.

Sorry, friends. Can't make this ones. Been having some health issues this summer and I do not feel up to the fifteen hour drive. I was hoping to have been moved into an apartment in Athens so these shows wouldn't have even been a road trip for me but too much crap in my life has come up. Stuck inside of Jersey with the Athens blues again.

Damn Rev, that sucks I was looking forward to sharing a beer with you while you were here. Guess I'll have to wait until you make the big move down to make that happen.

I'm thinking of taking a trip down there in Sept. when I feel a little bit better. I had to put off a move because I didn't want to change my medical team at this time.

I wish, but soon!

I leave the office here in CT at 4, drive to LaGuardia and fly to Atlanta. Should be rolling into town late night tonight/early Fri am.

Travel safely, everyone!
