DBT/Glory Fires 6/27/13 Track 29 Chattanooga

Post by rlipps »

Finally found someone to make the 3.5 hour drive down to Chattanooga with me for this show, so I'm in. Bought tix today, was contemplating this one anyways because I've yet to see them live without Neff, and after Lee Bains & the Glory Fires were added as openers, it became a near certainty. Really looking forward to seeing them for the first time without Neff, and also curious to see the Glory Fires, who have replaced 50% of their lineup since I last saw them in September.

I know Track 29 is fairly new, any reviews from people that have been? Who else is planning on making this show?

Me n Strutter are planning to be there. I think Athens Joe is going too. Track 29 is a big barn...think gymnasium or actually what it used to be was a skating rink. Not much character and its way out away from any other downtown attractions apart from the ChooChoo. Nothing to get excited about but I have seen some good shows there.
Never going back to Buttholeville. (Good luck with that!)

I couldn't make this work in my travel plans - it was just too hard to get to the next shows and I decided I didn't want to spend quite so much time driving on my vacation. But I'm bummed I will miss the chance to see you all.

Other than the obnoxious bitch down front that threw beer on Patterson and all over the monitors it was an absolutely killer night!

Oh and I was wondering if anyone had seen Cooley play this axe before...first time I'd seen it.

From pics it looked as if it was Adam Williamson also for that gig. Adam is the drummer's (Blake) brother.

Yes. There was this chick down front next to us...drunk n rowdy..annoying but she was singing along with all the words so we just kinda dealt with it but right toward the end of LTBR Patterson was down in front of us and she climbed up on the rail and was pumping her fist with a canned beer purposefully slinging beer all over Patterson and the monitors and boards. I tried to grab her arm and stop her but it had already been done and she quit when Patterson got up and moved out of range. Strutter gave her a tongue lashing but she was drunk and oblivious.

Man. Some folks should know when to say when. It's always the ones that can't hold it seeing how much they swallow too. Glad y'all had fun otherwise. Thanks for responding. Wish I had been there.
