Cool. I have a friend who helped (supervise) it being built. Supposed to be really nice and much better acoustics than WorkPlay (not that it would take much). That's a Thursday but before school starts back, so may be time to take a long weekend.

Iron City is the nicest music hall/club I've ever been to. Pretty large main room, probably 1,000 person capacity. Sunken floor, then main level with large horseshoe shaped bar inside the room (as opposed to Workplay, which has a small cramped bar outside the theater) and balcony level, again, similar to Workplay. Just larger. Wood/brick interior.

With a restaurant attached, so it's really two separate facilities. I think the restaurant area is open virtually every day, and the music hall only when acts booked. And the restaurant has a small stage area with mainly local folks playing late afternoons/early evenings. Mark Kimbrell has been playing every other Friday.

An awesome place. Heard they spent 5-6 million on it.

I think we're in for this one. Thursday night is problematic but I believe a Rock Show will be required.

It should be worth the trip over from MS. Iron City is supposed to be a very nice place. It was designed as a music club and restaurant not a factory like WorkPlay.

Rumor has it the Dexateens are opening for this one as well. If they or DBT could put together two nights of shows here, I'd do this one, too. Debt be damned.

Hey guys, Looks like we made a last second decision to goto the show tonight.

MSTaper will be there with the taping rig, I'd like to run video, but we will see how it goes, i've never been to this venue and we might be arriving a bit late to setup stuff.

Sorry about the stream. Everything works before the show, then starts to mess up during it. I finally just turned it off because i was shooting video and didn't want to mess with it all night. MSTaper got the audio tape of it, and i'm sure it will be posted soon!
