Nice! In for both, will likely grab a hotel room for both nights as well.

Cooley in Feb, DBT in April.. that's a nice run of shows for us front rangers!

Doing the same. Hotel on Fri and Sat night.

Was hoping they would add at least 1 CO show. I love the Boulder Theater, too.

If you're a fellow Denver guy we'll have to make sure to meet up at Cooley. I'll message you as it gets closer

The seating chart makes it look like all reserved seating. Is there a GA standing area in front of the stage? I would hope so.

From what I recall of the May 2010 show the whole theater is seating but it was GA tickets. I was up in the balcony though, so that may be incorrect.

Depending upon what the "Boss" says, we may be in for this one. Gotta add Colorado to my list of states that I've seen the rock show in.

Thank you, Drive-By Truckers. This news made dealing with my biggest pain-in-the-ass client completely bearable, even pleasant, today.

The Boulder Theater has always been standing on the floor for every show I've been to there. I think there is seating up in the balcony, but why they hell would I be up there?

UTHeathen, would love to see you guys again! Let me know if I can put in a good word with the boss for you.

Good for the CO Crew...
Maybe we can get them to swing out to the west coast after they tear up Boulder...
take a deep breath and throw yourself into it with everything you got...it's great to be alive!

The 2 legged ones are the "clients", the 4 legged ones are the "patients". The ones with 4 legs are almost never a PITA.

Jesus...they want ALL OF MY MONEY! Just picked up my second Cooley ticket yesterday. Thinking about going to see Patterson in SLC too.

Not a huge fan of the Boulder Theater...but I'll take what I can get.

Looks like we're in! Colorado, get ready for the Jeff, Paul and Brett show. Guess I'd better start saving bail money now.
Sure wish Cooley had opted for a night in SLC rather than a second one in CO., but we're getting two nights of Patterson so I won't complain.

Fatah, I hope you make it out to Salt Lake for Patterson. The State Room is one of my favorite venues ever. Great room, 300 person capacity and two bars to keep you well served. I would suggest that you decide soon as I'm guessing that these shows will sell out. If you do come, be sure to reach out and I will be more than happy to serve as local host.

Yee Haw! One more reason to go on living!

Just bought 2 tickets for each night. They have a bundle on sale if you are buying both nights.

Got my hotel room for Friday and Saturday night (Quality Inn - about a 10 minute walk to the theater).

Is it April yet ?

This news made my day! Got my two for Boulder. I wish Patterson was stopping close, but I am happy with the Cooley and DBT shows.

All set for the four of us to roll out to the rock show and represent SL,UT. One detail left, where to stay? Looks like the options for lodging in Boulder are relatively limited. We would love to stay within walking distance of the Boulder Theater, or at the most, a short drive or cab ride. Recommendations?

Depends on your budget, but you have several options within walking distance:

-COST IS NO OBJECT-
1. Hotel Bolderado. 1 block away. EXPENSIVE. Never stayed here. Fantastic restaurant.
2. St. Julian. 5-6 blocks away. EXPENSIVE. Been here. Pretty nice place.

-Reasonable priced-
1. University Inn. 5-6 blocks away. Pretty basic, but not a shit hole either.

-Cab ride distance-
1. Days Inn in South Boulder. 4 miles away. Cheap. You could walk it or rent a bike. Takes me about 20 minutes to ride from the theater to the Days Inn (used to live about 1/2 mile away).

Cool. Thanks for the low down. Right now we're leaning toward the Boulderado (I keep wanting to say "El Boulderino, if you're not into like, the whole brevity thing, man"), but I need to check with Team SL,UT first. Better book it soon.

I'm hitting both shows...just found out another friend from Iowa is hitting his first show this weekend, he's been seeing my constant flux of DBT facebook posts...just glad my love for DBT is spreading one heAthen at a time!! Anyway, I usually take the train or crazy bus to east coast shows but decided to fly out!! I seriously have a fear of flying...so I sure hope I see you all at the RAWK shows!!
Put that drinking jacket on and enjoy a little fun...

My friend Brian manages a Denver-based band called The Congress. They cover Sinkhole and have some great songs of their own. They submitted music to DBT and were told they were in the running to open the Boulder run, but I just asked Brian what they had heard and he said the band had decided to bill it as "an evening with" and not have an opener.

I might wear a bow tie..

I've never seen the Truckers without an opener, I wonder if they'll play a bit longer as a reult.

Different era, but...
Caught them in '04 at the Recher (RIP) in Baltimore.
Doors opened at 7. Not much fun standing around for 3 hours waiting for the show to start, but the 30+ songs and 3+ hours of music made it worthwhile.
My favorite show to date.
