Somebody change the frickin' thread title! I almost didn't even read this thinking I didn't really care about a release that was still a year away...

Can someone re-post the FB info on pre-release for us non FB folks...side note, it's REALLY annoying to follow a person and or a band on Twitter and the Twitter info posted links to FB....which I don't have and don't want. :x

Seems like the iTunes pre-order thing is only available in the US store (Not the Norwegian anyway) :(

OK, so, does the LP come with a download code? It doesnt specifically say so. but I want the vinyl for those wet sunday afternoons and the CD so I can rip it for the other 95% of my listening.

also, you know, the T shirt.
I've never taken a pissbreak during a DBT show but if I had it would have been during Dancing Ricky.

Given previous experiences with pre-orders not arriving by (or even after) the release date, and the astronomical shipping charges (dudes, media mail for an LP costs under three bucks), I'm gonna break with DBT tradition this time and just buy this from my local shop.

Wait! If I'm reading this right it means that somebody actually learned something from his experiences!!!  Stop the presses, make an announcement, give that man a medal or at least a kewpie doll.

I'm glad to see the "Mama Ran Off With the Drive-By Truckers" slogan making a comeback. If memory serves, once those bumperstickers went out of print they weren't too fond of printing up more but I guess it ties in pretty exclusively with this period of the Truckers.

With eyes wide open as to how these pre-orders usually go, last night I pre-ordered for the first time in my life - primarily because I want the tee shirt. The way I look at it is, who cares if I don't get the CD on time because I've already had it for about 5 years. So we'll see how it goes.

^^I feel the same way as Clams. I'm not in a rush to get it since I've long had it on cd, and would dig the t-shirt, so I'll probably do the pre-order again despite past results. I think I'll wait until after this weekend, though, on the off chance that they're selling them at the GA Theater shows.

I pulled the trigger on the pre-order from the DBT site. Gotten used to things taking a while to get shipped across the ocean, so I'll be patient.

Posted liner notes and credits on the Records page of the website. It sounds great - WELL worth getting the reissue even if you have the original version.

Thanks. I just read the liner notes, which conjured up all kinds of memories of way back when. I didn't see the Truckers a lot in that era but I did see 'em a few times. All very fond memories.

To fully capture the actual feel the environment in which this album was created, the volume must be turned as high as your stereo and local ordinances will allow, then turned up just a little bit more. Enjoy.

I am sure it will - they always do, don't they? I'll ask this weekend to be sure.

Don't suppose there's any chance the record will be for sale at the merch table this weekend?

This vinyl is impressive. I'm doing my best to keep the rock show going in my living room this morning. I'm making the Sunday morning strollers' walks a little better this morning.

Listened to CD on way home from Athens. It is brilliant! It was so great to see y'all. How can their shows just keep getting better? It's a-fucking-mazing...

Just got home from (a very long) day at work and dropped the needle. Man does this sound AMAZING. The guitar tone is so meaty, and everything is so clear.

Totally agree, that remastering job that Greg Calbi did is phenomenal. Just jumps out of the speakers. Don't bother to take it out of my car CD player--been letting it repeat over and over.
