Just got back from Dublin & London, seeing Patterson play.

The Forum, London 17/11/12

Patterson again supported the Alabama Shakes with Will Johnson. Will J played 4 songs then Patterson played:

Heat LightningRumbles In The Distance 9with Ben Tanner, piano)
Come Back Little Star (with the Alabama Shakes)
15 days (with the Shakes)
Back of A Bible (with the Shakes, which was very powerful)

The main even was last night at the Workman's Club:

Depression Era
Leaving Time
Better Off without
Don't Be In Love Around Me
12:01
Pollyana
Girls Who Smoke
Heathens
The Night G G Allin Came To Town
Uncle Disney
Heat Lightning Rumbles In The Distance
Come Back Little Star
Better Than The Truth
15 Days
E: Ronnie & Neil
Sinkhole
Nine Bullets

I think that is enough set lists. Last night was excellent with loads of stories & playing a few requests. The highlight was probably an acoustic Ronnie & Neil, but you could feel the ghost of DBT blasting away. G G Allin & Nine Bullets were also highlights. In fact it was all good.

Keith checking in - SRV were you the English gentleman who was heading to Montreal to see Neil Young?

I was the guy with the dodgy merv hughes type moustache that I currently cultivating for Movember that you spoke to in the hallway of the venue before the show.

Cool beans.

Excellent show despite the few yappers around me - who goes to an acoustic show and talks during it??

I will be editing my tape in the coming days and will post a link to the torrent when it's ready to go.

2 nice videos uploaded on youtube by user mikebrookfield - he shot GG Allin & Ronne & Neil.

Great show at the Workmans club last night. The stories between songs especially the one before Ronnie and Neil really added to the atmosphere and made the show even better. It was nice meet some of the people of the site, srv and the couple from Glasgow. I was the guy with the Hood Cooley t shirt on.

Had a quick listen to the tape last night - turned out really good.

You can even hear the drunk American guy who I politely asked to shush asking me "Do you have a problem?" after he'd deliberately stood in my way and backed up into me.

If you're gonna insist on talking during an acoustic show then I'm gonna ask you as politely to shush.

That's funny at the TbT show the previous night the lead singer actually told someone in the audience to shut up; the crowd was pretty rowdy.

Patterson was on good form. Seemed to enjoy being in Dublin, as did my SO and me. Highlights for me were 'Don't be in Love Around me' and also Sinkhole; Patterson had a bit of a rant about Mitt Romney -- 'thank god we don't have to look at that mother******* smug face for the next four years' and then he slipped in a line about 'trickle down effect'.

Got to spend some time with The Beacon and also SRV. Also met a lovely couple from South Carolina, who were over on holiday.

I'll try and post up some photos tonight.

An excellent show from Patterson Hood in the Workman's Club.

My first time in the venue and I was very impressed.

Patterson was in good form , playing new & old tunes &
having a bit of banter with the crowd.

Some chatter particuarly from the young American couple in front of me.

I eventually politely asked them to stop, to which the bloke
took exception. He purposely blocks my line of sight, backs up
into me and as you will hear at the end of Uncle Disney asks me
"Have you got a problem?". I didn't bother answering him &
common sense prevailed - they moved shortly thereafter.

Despite all this I think this one turned out pretty darn good.

If you still burn to disc I'd suggest splitting after Uncle Disney.

Enjoy the show.

Seems like Patterson was particularly talkative that night. He didn't banter nearly that much at the Boston show, for example. Must be something about that Irish air or the blarney stone or something.

He came on stage with a pint of Guinness - that might have had something to do with it. :D

Thanks Kagee. Downloaded off hungercity, dime would'nt respond. I rarely do torrents, but it is great to have a recording of a good gig like this one, especially as I wasn't expecting it to be recorded.
