My financial situation is in disarray & I can't really get off work. I was so lookin' forward to sharin' time with all my HeAthens. I'm too old to cry, so it looks like I'll have to drink my blues away (again). Have fun everyone, I will be there in spirit.
You will be missed.
Though I'm thinkin' that if u put that drinkin' money towards the trip, you can probably get at least one night's worth out of it
It is actually more a work thing than financial (and actually that's a story better told in the NC than here). As far as my drinkin' goes, though; I have it mostly in check. I am only about 5% of the flamin' alcoholic that I used to be. It just so happens that that 5% overlaps the 1% of the time that you actually see me. And today just happens to be one of those 5% days. I even have tix to all 3 shows. Maybe I can donate them to Nuci's somehow.

Actually, I mispoke. Playoffs don't start until next week (duh). I'll just be watching Week 17 from Nellie's.

Late to the discussion but hubby and I are gonna be there! It hasn't quite hit us yet but I guess we had better think about packing soon as we were given a metric fuck tonne of dollars and cash for it as Christmas presents!

Please... contain your enthusiasm, I'm really not that special.
Tickets purchased for all three shows (big thanks to Mr. B for last night's ticket alert) and flights are booked.
Anyone arriving in ATL around 4:30pm on Thursday want to share a ride to Athens?
Now I just need a room (or a park bench or patch of grass, etc). Are there any deals left?

Check out Enterprise Rent A Car weekend Special. 9.99 a day plus 100 miles a day. I rented from Thursday to Monday last year. I think it cost me less than 50.00 dollars.

It's looking like the Holiday Inn Express for $69/night + tax. The regular rate is $94 but the reservations lady said it's a special DBT rate for the GA Theater shows, I guess it's still in their computer system. Looks like a decent hotel and gets good reviews, not much further than the Courtyard or Days Inn. Giddyup!

It's right across Broad Street from the Courtyard and yeah, it's a good hotel. Looking forward to seeing you in a couple weeks!
