The Chicago shows aren't a surprise as they have been onsale for a month or two, but I'll be going.

Was kind of just hoping for the big man and his acoustic guitars, but it will still be cool.

Is that place in LA for real? Anybody got the scoop on it?

That Club Helsinki show in Hudson NY has roadtrip written all over it. Now I have to go on Plenty of Fish and find a chick from those parts who can put me up for the night. 8-)

Has Minnesota moved?

Is that considered the midwest?

Places I can drive to as fast as, or faster, than Minneapolis:

New Orleans, LA
Atlanta, GA
Jacksonville, FL
New York, NY
Washington, D.C.
Wichita, KS
Tulsa, OK
Texarkana, TX

The Midwest is a big place. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the following states are in the Midwest.

Illinois
Indiana
Iowa
Kansas
Michigan
Minnesota
Missouri
Nebraska
North Dakota
Ohio
South Dakota
Wisconsin

Hey, I didn't draw up the map or designate the regions. And one of those places (Wichita) is in the midwest, too.

Edit: Oh, thanks bill. Didn't see yours.

True. I guess the issue is that I'm on the far east side of the midwest. Still, to Zip's point, it sucks when your favorite artists aren't touring within 6 hours of where you live.

Philly on the 16th is looking good. The Phillies are out of town and the Eagles play early against the Ravens which means traffic will be going the other way. I think I'm in for Philly.

No SF dates posted makes me think he's bound for Friday night at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass,
they've just started to announce their line up, which takes a few weeks, for whatever reason.
I really hope he's getting booked into a club date on Thurs/Fri as HSBG is way too crowded, clusterfunked for me,
but it'd be good for Patterson to attract new fans...i might have to head to Portland i guess.
take a deep breath and throw yourself into it with everything you got...it's great to be alive!

Plus on October 6th you get a chance to see a concert in a cemetary.
By the time you drop them I'll be gone

Maybe he'll do that charity show at GAMH on Thursday night! That was the MOST FUN last year. I know Rod and I will make it, maybe with the new BFF in tow this time, too. (regardless of Patterson status)

Anyway...yay.

Is this October 4th? If so, too bad for me--I might be sent out the week before on work business. If I have to travel, I'd like to have fun, too.
