wrekker - can't wait to put a face to the name - your show over on the NC is the stuff of legend.

p.s. - I'm in WC also - not sure what magic ticket machine TC has access to.

Mine are at will call too but I'll take the magic ticket machine. I was being metaphorical. Sorry to cause such consternation. 8-)

Damn! I've never seen James McMurtry either and he's one of my all time favorites. Plus that's my birthday. I think I have to do that one too..

you're not really missing much guy, its the internet, so i'm just all talk. . . just keep me away from such things as black berry brandy, whiskey, tequila, white russians, screwdrivers, goldschlager....ahh, well maybe just booze in general and the evening shall be calm and uneventful. no worries.

oh, wait...and the person whom i bought the other ticket for is coming too. . . uh-oh, its never good when we get together, this just might get out of hand.

TC, i did print my "ticket reciept" out and have that in hand. i don't know if i'm just paranoid but i'm always uneasy about will call. especially, when i'm traveling long distances. i forget things sometimes and it would totally suck to get 5 hours from home and not have proper ID documents to ascertain my fun tickets for the night.

If that happens I'm sure we would all be willing to skip the show and just hang with you at the bar down the street...

Mine are at WC as well.

Beags and I are all over this shit, along with one (or hopefully two) newcomer(s).

And my dad bought an Econoline van the other day, so who knows, we could roll into Athens next year in full blown Bruce Berry-style.

You'll know where to find us.

So: did we collectively decide the Best Western is going to be 3DD HQ? Who else in in for James McMurtry @ Fitzgerald's on Fri? TC: I'll get us the tix if you drive! We ought to locate a suitable dive bar for a pre-show gathering on Sun? Suggestions? Thoughts?

Ms. Lane, I can only speak for myself (TC is a crazy dude who is known to run around the country to rock shows with no rhyme or reason), but - I will sadly not make DC... Complicatedly yours, SR.

Not true, I almost always have reasons. I went to Nashville because I couldn't wait any longer for a rock show. That's a reason. Then DBT up a rewarded us all with this DeKalb show. I am, however, a crazy dude.

Sadly Penny, I won't make it to DC. I tried but I can't take the day off and if I took a late flight and there was any delay at all I could miss the show.

Oh and I'd say yes on the Best Western. Booking my room right now.

First post here at 3DD, I used to read the board at 9B all the time.

I will be in attendance at the show for sure and probably staying at the Best Western, as well. I saw Isbell in DeKalb last fall and saw Wilco there a couple of times at Otto's.

For me anyway, DeKalb and Chicago are the same drive distance wise for me and I much prefer to go to DeKalb, to be honest. Been to Chicago enough in my life, DeKalb is much more laid back. Plus, I went to NIU, so it's always good to pay DeKalb a visit.

Welcome LPA, and, couldn't agree more - we're all looking forward to the low-key, out-of-the-way Otto's experience.

Team: we still need to figure out the pre-show dive bar. Thoughts?

I'm pretty pumped for this.

Just looked and I see that there is still no opener on the DBT site or the Otto's site. Take it this is going to be "an evening" with DBT? That would be fantastic. Far better than Lamehorn Slim last time.

Lord Stanleys is the best dive bar in DeKalb.
