This one is at Otto's which is a pretty decent club about an hour away from me. Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa folks? It's 2 days after my birthday too. Tickets already in hand.

Looks like they may have added this show very recently. Kick ass small bar/club just off of NIU's campus. I've seen a few great shows at this place including North Mississippi Allstars with Lucero opening up in '02 I believe. They'll really love playing this place in between two of their Tom Petty dates. Can't wait! Grabbed 4 tix a second ago.

I'm going to have to stay at Day's Motor Lodge next time I am in Lexington. The stories that those guys told us over dinner had me rolling on the ground. Never made it back to party there though.

Just looked at the tour schedule, this show is sandwiched in between a bunch of opening slots for TP and festival type gigs. I have a feeling it is going to be brought for this show.

Just watched the DBT Webisode for "After The Scene Dies" (see below), and, I'm seeing a connection to this show at Otto's. Someone not on this board asked me why DBT would do a gig at a tiny spot in an out of the way place like this in the midst of their mega-petty-opening run, etc. And - I think this video answers that one. Loved Patterson mentioning Liberty Lunch in Austin - I remember that place from back when I lived there. Glad to be a part of this Otto's thing.

Otto's should be a great place to see DBT. My brother's band plyaed a gig there the night after we burried our uncle and he let me sit in on cowbell. I damn near destoyed that thing.
Dell Lounge shot some docco videos about the clubs in Austin that became an Old Navy. Here's the one about Liberty Lunch.

Getting excited for this gig. Looks like a good 3DD crew will be on hand....
I love Otto's. I've seen so many great shows there and have had great times although some I can't remember. I'm really glad to see one of my favorite bands at one of my favorite venues.
There's also a bar called Lord Stanley's a few buildings down. Awesome beer selection, reasonably priced, and cool atmosphere. Great place to have a few beers while waiting for DBT

wrekker - can't wait to put a face to the name - your show over on the NC is the stuff of legend.
p.s. - I'm in WC also - not sure what magic ticket machine TC has access to.
