The good news is that I sat 5+ hours today to complete my sleeve of Freed. It incorporates the Cooley bird in stained glass and parts of a couple of Freed paintings and DBT album art.

The neutral news is that we only got black done today, and not even all of it. This will be a 2 or 3 session project.

The bad news is that the camera battery is dead, so I can't post any pics yet.

My tattoo artist (Barry Walker of Inkwell in W-S, NC) has outdone himself laying this thing out, and as usual is nailing Freed's style on skin. I can't wait for it to be complete!

Wow, that's pretty incredible. The cool thing about that is--its a "band tattoo" but it isn't, ya know? I love the Cooley Bird stained glass. Are you getting colored like the tee design?

Cool, so yeah very similar to the tees. Nice! That was one of my favorite stage pieces they've done.

Finished the color yesterday. Another 4.5 hours for a total of 13, not including the Dirty South, Cooley Bird, and Dr. Strawboss pieces already there. Just a month to heal up, an hour or 2 of touch-up, and the fucker is done!

So I just made arrangements to get some new work done. It's gonna be an amalgam of

in the sky above, across the upper half of my back. Bad news? The artist I want to do the work doesn't have available appointments until March.
