Great show last night - We've gotta jump up and run to Oxford, so I can't do a full write-up.
Here are songs played IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER

Opened with Pride of the Yankees
12:01 (from new album)
Leaving Time (new album)
Little Bonnie

Better Than The Truth (new album)
I Understand Now
Better Off Without (new album)
Pollyanna
Uncle Disney
Mercy Buckets (dedicated to his sister)
After the Damage (new album) - beautiful (dedicated to Kelly Hogan?)
Heat Lightening Rumbles in the Distance (funny story about his sister telling him that heat lightening doesn't rumble -- I say it is poetic license and by God if he says heat lightening rumbles, then it can.) Reminds me of one of my favorite scenes from Sling Blade where Col. Bruce Hampton says, "the dots are where I SAY they are!
Come Back Little Star (new album) MY FAVORITE song of the night. Beautiful.
Fifteen Days (new album)
Encore
Back of a Bible
After It's Gone
Everybody Needs Love
Take a Letter Maria (with an awesome story about how his Dad hadn't played this since he recorded it over 25 years ago.) Done by R.B Graves originally - I always thought it was Freddy Fender, but I was wrong.

There ya go folks. If there is a solo show anywhere within gettin distance to you, ya better do it.

Great to see Tricky Dick on the rail!

I was so pumped when I heard they were gonna play Take A Letter Maria. Eddie Hinton also played guitar on the original. I love that song and must have I think at least four copies of the record.
Anyone else think there might have been something going on with Maria before the guy caught his wife cheating? And then to get Maria to write the letter, nice. Truly from another age.

It was a pleasure hanging with Lurleen and the Cowboy last night.

Third time I've seen Doc Dailey. Really impressed at how much better this band gets with time.

For me, Little Bonnie was the highlight of the show. Papa Hood's bassline really made the song move. Here's a few pics I snapped during the show.

"Take a Letter Maria" was the first "hit" recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound. From what I've read they were recording that album at the same time the Rolling Stones were recording there. The Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section would work on the R.B. Greaves album during the day and they would reset the studio for the Stones, who would record through the night. Jimmy Johnson, of the MSRS, played rhythm guitar on the day sessions and then did a lot of the engineering for the Stones session. He pretty much went for three straight days like that. I've heard even Keith was impressed!
