Strutter and I would love to make this happen, but Easter weekend will be a tough one to work out.
Never going back to Buttholeville. (Good luck with that!)

Just because I think it's overrated doesn't mean I don't think it's real, real good, and in fact, I don't have a better recommendation for barbecue there.

You won't be disappointed with the 'cue but that stage at the workplay is way too high. At least it was when we were there in 07
and the rest as they say is uh er uh, well somebodies history somewhere?

It's half the ingredients my "bloody confederate" which we only break out for the Fla/Ga game.
half a shot dreamland, half a shot dickel (black label)
tip it quick!
Seems like DL is just on the edge of UAB campus.

In for shows. Dreamland is ok, but IMHO slightly overrated. My local Gas station has Much better Q.

Agreed Ms. McQueen - I'd rather do Jim & Nicks for Q.

My favorite bq is down here but we don't have a Dreamland down here and it's just been a tradition for us since the early 90's
and us following the Gators. You can't get to Starkville or Oxford without going thru Tuskaloosa and even though we've been
told there are better places, we still stop there. Besides I need the sauce for my drinks

I've had pretty good luck in the past using Priceline to get the Sheraton for $50-$55 before tax. Just bid on 4 star downtown. There is a trolly that will drop you off about 2 blocks away. Cab ride back is $5.
There are other hotels closer but you will end up paying much more.

price line's pulling up the Sheraton for around 130. the nearest thing im seeing to your 50-55 is the knights inn. though they do have free adult channels the first customer comment is "not a place for families, children, or women."

You need to do a "Name your own price" for a 4 star in downtown Birmingham. My last win was the Sheraton for $55. Do not stay at the knights inn.

Looking at Better Bidding they say to bid on a 3.5 * in Central Birmingham so maybe my memory of 4* was incorrect.

I'm still deciding whether to try to make these shows or not. Do folks familiar with the venue think it's going to sell out?
