I've never seen the Dexateens, so that would be awesome.

I've only seen one song live by Slobberbone, so that would be another dream bill. Caught a secret show of theirs after a DBT show in Texas one time but got there just as the show was ending. :(

Not a dream bill, but I think Jimbo Mathus would be a really fun opener for DBT.

I wish I had a time machine for you.

That was also one of the last tours where anyone in their right mind would've wanted to see the Hold Steady. They suck now, imo.

I've seen DBT with a lot of kickass openers including the Drams, Dexateens, Felice Bros, etc. Can't say I've ever fantasized about DBT as an opener for someone else I like. DBT playing for an hour in front of a crowd that isn't theirs does not do it for me at all.

DBT as opener= handjob

DBT doin' the full-on Rock Show= fucking

Best analogy in 3DD history.

TWO COW GARAGE!!!!!!!! I'll second that emotion. Being a Columbus boy myself, I would LOVE to see my homeboys open a DBT show.

Nor have I. Nor have I ever heard any of their music. Shit happens. I had hoped to catch Lee Bains III and the Glory Fires here in Raleigh last year but by the time I found out about the show I'd already made other plans. Again, shit happens.

Some of my favorite things about Dexateens with DBT: everyone out on stage all together. Having a blast.

...and Jimmy Smith, Kevin Russell and Max Johnston from the Gourds. Hell, may as well throw Farrar, Tweedy and Ryan Adams in there too as long as I'm dreamin'.

Daniel Hutchens, Kevn Kinney, Steve Earle (&son), Lucinda Williams and Isbell probably need a chair too. Maybe even Ben Nichols.
or maybe a venue could hold a series of songwriter mashups once a month or something... say the first month it was hood/tweedy, then todd snider/hayes carll, mcmurtry/cooley, etc

I forgot to mention Tim Easton and Bobby Bare, Jr. May as well ask Guy Clark and Jerry Jeff to pull up a couple stools too.

This might sound a little odd, but, I think Truckers and Elvis Costello. I think Hood and Costello together would be very interesting.

One song and a couple of drunken covers with Rhett Miller singing with Brent if I recall correctly...
