The 3DD Nuci's Fundraiser

Post by Jonicont »

Well now that the cat's out of the bag, we'd like to thank everyone who donated and also those that couldn't. You see, this place is about the community and the love we have for this band. We all support them in any way we are able to.

I'd also like to thank my co-conspiritors--Cooleygirl (master of the spreadsheet), Tequila Cowboy, Lurleen McQueen, Mark Lynn and our resident bard (he wrote the fundraising letter) Beantownbubba.

I can assure you and the others can attest that there was heartfelt appreciation all weekend for the donation.

Thanks again to everybody.

'Till next year

By the time you drop them I'll be gone
And you'll be right where they fall the rest of your life

Nuci Space is such a good cause , we are honored to help out.
The necklace`s and bracelet`s that I made with the band`s guitar string`s
did really well and I want to thank everyone who bought one.

I will make more for next year so start saving now :D

I have to say that I had no real idea what to expect in the way of response to the fundraising appeal and don't really have anything in my experience to compare it to (been involved in other fundraisers, but under very different circumstances). I thought $2,500 seemed like a nice round number and a very good result for a first effort, but I had no real reason to think that, one way or the other.

That said, it seems to me that $3,600 is a fantastic result, a very successful effort by any reasonable standard, and an amount that should make a difference at Nuci's Space. I'm really proud to have been a part of it, and to be a part of this board. We really do take care of our own, and don't need Springsteen to sing about it.

This board is the first thing I thought of when I saw the title of the his new song.

Big thank you to LB Rod who took some pictures while we did a presentation on stage at the 40 Watt to give the check to Nuci's Space.

If anyone else has any, please feel free to post them here.
