Specific set times should be listed the day of (if not already) on the site but my guess is:

Thurs doors at 7 (would assume DBT goes on 8:45/9)

Fri doors at 8 (would assume DBT go on at 10)

Sat doors at 8 (AL Shakes 8:30/Booker T 9:30/DBT 10:30)

Clams---I know I'll be at Duffy's Night 2 from around 4:30 on (meeting a couple college friends early-ish who aren't coming to the show)...

UR/CG and crew are partial to Nelly's---so not sure what their plans are..

My suggestion: How about Thurs at Nelly's (across the street and a block over?) and Friday at Duffy's? (directly across the street)? C'mon UR--Duffy's has that stellar jukebox!!?

(Sat I'm sure everyone will want to line up early so I'm not sure about THAT one)

Nellie's has the sinks from the old Griffith Stadium. Just saying

Is opening act really 30 minutes after doors at 9:30? That'd be a first - every other club I've been to it's usually "officially" an hour after doors, and since when does any rock'n'roll band ever actually make the stage on time?

According to the 930 Club forum:

Prolly something like 9:30 Thursday and 10:30 Friday and Saturday with supports on at 8:00 and 9:00. Our up-to-datest times will be on our website so be sure to check just to make sure the times don't shift too wildly.

So if I'm reading this right, we're looking at

Thursday:
Doors at 7
Lucero at 8
DBT at 930

Friday/Saturday:
Doors at 8
J Roddy/Alabama Shakes at 9
DBT at 1030

Yep. We're on it now. UR, Joe Jukebox Fronz & I . Those guys & Bill in CT & I caught the Lucero show last night in Philly on our way down from CT. Great show! Can't wait for tonight. They were testing out some new songs from their album due out in March.

Are there any cheap bars within walking distance of the 9:30 club? I know it's DC, but I mean like $2.50 PBR cheap. I heard the cheapest beers are $6 at the 9:30.

Since it's no longer 1978, I don't think you'll find $2.50 beers in D.C. We did just have $3.00 beers down in New Orleans, but that town takes care of their alcoholics.
