I usually go to shows in Detroit but last time I saw DBT at St. Andrew's Hall, some kind of racket was going on in the basement. It was some heavy bass crap that I couldn't stand. This time I'm gonna see them in Cincy. As a bonus I'll take Friday off and have a 3 day weekend.

Download the VBR zip file on the left hand side of the screen and unzip and you'll have MP3's, or just listen online.

I'll be in Cincy with a couple of friends. One of them has never saw DBT before and has been constantly telling me to make sure I let him know when they are coming around cause he's dying to see them.

It went. I'm glad it's done, and hope it's the last time.

Been unwinding in Colorado climbing 14ers (mountains over 14,000 feet above sea level) for the past week. Back to Iowa in the morning. I'll be coming out of the woods literally and figuratively.

Good for you hope the bar went well. Well if you go to slowdown, that probably means you are not going to want to go to Columbia the next night. I was thinking either slowdown or ST Louis and do a back to back. Why no KC? Bummed but lots of close shows none the less. Hopefully we can hook up again.

Hendooman, I would definitely be down for meeting up in Omaha again. Columbia is just going to be way harder for me to make than Omaha.

I feel your pain with the no KC shows. I would kill for a des Moines show, but I just don't see it happening.

It's a great area, I used to live there. This place was in walking distance to my old apartment. Parking will be a pain, but you'll be able to find some on side streets. There are several bars very close to the venue. As a matter of fact, the place I used to spend most of my bar time at is only about a 10 minute walk up one of those side streets.

One FYI, because of the parking, make sure to allow yourself plenty of time, and don't focus on trying to get a spot right on Madison. It's one of the main streets in that area, and may still be under construction. Get there early, and hit Animatinos, Habits, or Oakley Tavern for some drinks, all of which are about a block away.
Just put the goddamn record on and enjoy it

DBT Playing Big Spring Jam in Huntsville
In light of the artist-announced cancellation of Old Crow Medicine Show, Jam organizers have added Drive-By Truckers to the schedule as well.

Doing Milwaukee with friends and then Madison with the prego wife since they have seats in the balcony at the Majestic. What a trooper she is. Given the probable absence of touring in 2012 she wanted to get one more show in. Possibly the coolest wife in the world.

Maybe just maybe.... DBT will head back north to Chicago for 10/30-31. ;)

Conflicted a bit on the midwest shows. Want to do Cincy and Detroit and bring some newbies but also want to hit Milwaukee and Madison. Might have to do them all and make a little run of it.

Get there early, and hit Animatinos, Habits, or Oakley Tavern for some drinks, all of which are about a block away.

Animations? Is that the sweet little dive bar with pool tables? General illustration but spent a ton of time there in 03-04 along with RP McMurphys?
