Just thinking back over the different lineups of the band, I was wondering what lineup everyone saw the at their first DBT show?

For me it was,

Newport KY - 10.24.2001

Rob Malone - guitar, vocals
Brad Morgan - drums
Earl Hicks - bass
Patterson Hood - vocals, guitar
Mike Cooley - guitar, vocals

For me it was,

Milwaukee, WI - 10.28.2001

Pretty sure it was this line up. Does anyone know exactly when Jason's first show was? Patterson had laryngitis and it was a DBC show. I wish I had ran my mics rather than an unlistenable SBD recording.

That was Marina's first show. One of the longest sets I can
remember. I saw them for the first time at the Freebird in
March '03 with the Isbell, Hicks line up.

i had just gotten SRO on a whim like a week before & was wearing it out when i saw in the paper they were playing. Dragged a friend along & they just kicked ass! Still ranks up there as one of the better shows i've seen any band play.

Patterson called to tell me he was coming to town with a new band. They were called the Drive-By Truckers!
Wes and Jyl Freed's band Dirt Ball played before them and kicked ass! At one point during Dirt Ball's set it seemed like there was a dozen or so musicians on stage. I remember looking at Adam Howell about half way through the set and he had this look on his face of, "oh shit, we have to follow this". DBT's come a long way since those days!
