i'm so torn...MMJ playing Merriweather on that Friday..plus there is a small festival in VT that Bow Thayer is headlining....but Athens in summertime in the GA Theater with GA seats!

Well shitfire. I've been at work all morning and just went on to DBT to buy tickets and the presale says they are sold out. Tickets go onsale at the venue next Monday. WTF? Jesus.

Seriously considering this one. Glad the Ga Theater is back and DBT is part of it. I don't know if I can handle staying at the Dazed Inn twice in a year...but the pool will be OFFICIALLY open this time around.

I love it when DBT sell out a place in 24 hours, I just like to be one of lucky ticket buyers!

I wish I had the know-how to create an iphone app that alerts us the minute stuff like this is posted. Course if I knew how to make cellphone apps I could fly us all to Jamaica first class.

FYI for those making plane/hotel reservations: Also playing that week are Gillian Welch, Big Boi & J Roddy Walston (separately, lol). There are probably worse ways to spend a week. But damn i hope that theater is air conditioned!!

I have to assume the DBT ticket allotment was really small. I mean I'd love to see them sell out theaters in a matter of minutes, but back to reality, how many tix could they have sold in a few hours?

In Jan, DBT got a little something for those of us who stayed at the Marriott and said we were staying there to see DBT and wanted the DBT rate. No clue if that is in play for this time around, but I just booked the Courtyard Marriott just in case. Across the street from the Dazed Inn and a stone's throw from the venue. If nothing else, the AAA rate is currently $84 per night.

Shall be there Thursday dinner time, staying at a friends house that has this Swedish espresso machine, that grinds the beans fresh for each cup, spa bath of my own and a dog named Coltrane!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

and it should be in the upper 90s to over 100 the entire weekend!!! love that kind of heat and for you white people wear SPF seriously!!!!

I'm in for Saturday. Just bought tickets (meaning they're still available), but the Georgia Theater website is saying some of the opening shows will sell out today. I'd have to guess the DBT shows are among the most popular, so don't dither.
