Trying to get out of town always stresses me out...fixin' to leave the office for a 3.5 hour drive to Tupelo for 2 days of meetings before making my way over to Athens via ATL. Of course that meant that I had to pack for both business attire for Tupelo and casual for Athens - just a ton of shit thrown in the car at the last minute...trying to be sure I paid the basics, phone, water, power before I take off. Of course the "change oil" light came on this morning!!!

Am I the only one who gets completely wigged out? It makes it hard to get psyched up for the show until I'm actually in the car and about an hour away from town...once I hit the highway that goes into Athens, then I feel like I can shrug off the work and responsibility and actually start to transform into RAWK show mode.

I should just be grateful I've got a house to live in and a job that allows me to travel to see the band. Shut my mouth and be grateful. That's what Imma do. Looking forward to seeing the DBT family in 2 days! All y'all travel safely.

Everyone please be safe and get to Athens in one piece! It sounds like we could all use a RAWK show!

Let's see, I had pink eye, got a shitty review at work for no good reason, and oh yeah, our house got robbed! Time for a good old fashioned face melting RAWK show!

I think Patterson has to change the lyrics to "I'd rather wrassle a cottonmouth" in honor of Swamp doin' whatcha gotta do to get to a RAWK show. I love the Swamps. Getting very, very ready for this. Woke up at 3:30 a.m. this morning rarin' to go.

I'm not sure if it's still the case, but it was posted on Facebook yesterday that a small batch of tickets have been released for this weekend. It might be worth a look.

Grabbed a couple of the tickets they released yesterday. I'm in for Saturday and very, very happy about it. Saw the documentary about the Ga Theater a couple of months ago and seeing DBT/Centro-Matic for my first show since they reopened is perfect.

Time has now slowed to a crawl. Two hours of work left today, half a day tomorrow and I'm not sure how to avoid jumping out of my skin. Is it Friday yet?

Really really wish I was going to this one. Besides the fact that I need an awesome rock show, I sure could do with the fun and distraction a weekend like this would provide.
I just want to stay in that better time and place....

You're gonna like it here. Give the NC a visit.

Bela Fleck is playing the Theatre tonight. Big Boi tomorrow night. Then? It's ON.

OK. Focusing on work today is going to be damn near impossible (as is evidence by my being on 3dd now).

I've just got to suck it up and plow through all this BS until 2:00 and then I am outta here and soon Athens bound. I need a face melting Rock Show in the worst possible way. Although, admittedly I will luckily not have to wrestle snakes as a prerequisite to my travels. Then again I'll have to deal with other lawyers all day so its pretty much the same thing.
