Ah you beat me to it. All three songs are awesome...but LOVE Pulaski.
Never going back to Buttholeville. (Good luck with that!)

Yeah, Pulaski stood out for me as well. Patterson's voice sounded tired to me.
But i guess we answered LAJakes' question: "belong"
Also, checkout the link on the RS page for Jimmy Fallon doing bob dylan doing charles in charge.

What used to be is gone and what ought to be ought not to be so hard
Re: Patterson and Cooley play acoustic versions of 3 songs
Used to Be a Cop sounds weird acoustic - it kind of falls flat without the rhythm section. But the other two songs sounded really nice!

I enjoyed the performances but I wonder how many people won't even take the time to watch because of the "Southern Rock" description.

Sure enough, the "Southern rock" tag doesn't belong there, but ... it's Rolling Stone, folks. Can't help but help the cause.
Paraphrasing ol' Keith Richards here, but it was something like "The best rock 'n' roll songs are still great on an acoustic guitar ..."
Can't remember the exact quote, but these clips sure as hell are the exact proof.

Let's play now ... we can tune up later.

Re: Patterson and Cooley play acoustic versions of 3 songs
Thank you for posting this! I really, really loved the stripped-down version of Pulaski. It echos the earlier version from Cooley's solo shows. Never knew that Everybody Needs Love was popular in Scandanavia back in the day. I learn something new every day!
I think Patterson passed up Uncle Remus in the storytelling department a long time ago! He's honed storytelling down to an art.
Cooley kills trees. But I think the sacrifice is pretty puny, when one considers his songs...
Loved this so much I shared it on my FB page. This just made my Monday 100X better.

I hear you! I shall quote Gregg Allman: "Saying Southern Rock is like saying rock rock..." DBT can't be labeled so easily!!! Those three songs aren't what one COULD call "Southern Rock" at all, anyhow!!!
Re: Patterson and Cooley play acoustic versions of 3 songs
Just got home from a hard days work (paintin' houses), poured and drank a beer for each of the three songs, and holy shit, that made my day. What a fantastic set!
Also - nerd alert - I could tell Cooley was playing a Gibson J-45, which makes me really happy, because I'm a geek.
SO awesome. Thanks for sharing this.
