Great show! High energy, even though it was the last night of this leg and I'm sure everyone was ready to go home. They rocked it and said at the in-store they'd play rain or no rain. There was no barrier, which is always nice. However, the stage was so tall I felt like a 5 year old. Cooley and Shonna got laughing when they walked out and caught a glimpse of me, about all the could see (I imagine) was my eyes! I jumped up to wave hi, it was pretty funny.
Thankfully, the crowd was pretty mellow. There were the usual attempts at the end of the night of people trying to move up, but nothing too crazy. That was really good, as UR pointed out, if it had gotten rough, one good shove into that concrete wall and we could have lost a tooth.
It was great catching up with 3dd folks, as always. It makes an already fun DBT show that much more enjoyable.
The in-store was a blast as well. It was pretty packed in there. It was super cute because there was a row of little kids right up front watching intently who sang along to Everybody Needs Love. There was also a girl in a green DBT shirt with a pink guitar and cowboy boots that was just adorable. Next generation of fans?
I don't have pics from the in-store but do have some from the show itself. I'm still working on the ones from Lexington and Bloomington, but will share them all as soon as I can. Thankfully, the ride back to CT today was uneventful and we made it back in 7 ish hours but I'm still a little beat and not looking forward to work tomorrow. Oh well, I shouldn't complain, I'm grateful to have a job.
