Anyone on here going to the show? I will be in my 9B t-shirt and likely with a group of friends. I have turned a lot people on to DBT over the years, and now I am trying to convince them to come to the Rock Show. Wish me luck...

I'm trying to get a couple of my neighbors to go: They're a mom & son, he now lives out there and just had ACL surgery so she's out there doing the mom thing. I'm giving them the "i'm sure they've got handicapped seating" routine, but i'm not sure i'm convincing anyone, lol. Still, i know they'd love it if they'd just go, dammit!

I would love to but can't on a school night. I saw them at the Belly Up and it was way better than any L.A. show I've seen.

Did you see the show where Patterson had shots of whiskey brought to the stage and then handed them out to the folks in front (2 or 3 years ago now)? Helluva good night!!!

Did you just say you can't go on a school night? What are you.... in 9th grade?

Clams, what are you? A literalist? He means he has to work the next day, and if i remember correctly, he has to be at work by 7. Not that that would stop me or you, but you just just have to make allowances for those who just can't cut it at the high level expected of a 3DDer. It's kind of like the Marines, only different.

Yes I did mean work. And I have to be there at 5 am. I get up at 4. San Diego is 2 hours away so I would get home around 3 from the show. Not happening.

I'll be there from Chicago -- travelling solo as I am in California for work. I haven't yet figured out how to explain to my boss why I had to fly home through San Diego when I am in Sacremento, but I'll figure it out. Anyway, assuming my flight down there is on time, I'll be up front near Cooleyville wearing a Cubs hat, so say hello and I'll buy you a beer.

Slacker. Lajakes, you're now on 3DD probation. No, make that double secret probation. ;)

Will do. One of my buddies who is coming is also from Chicago, and we are both Cubs fans.

Mmmmmmmm, beer

Wow, a little rough around the edges this morning. For those folks in LA and SF, get ready, they did not hold back in SD.

One thought, for now, and I'll try for more later. I never realized it, but somewhere in that "wall of gd noise and sound" little spaces exist, and oh boy, Jay fills those little spaces MIGHTY WELL. This is a very different band then I have seen in the past, and I was completely blown away. I see now why every time I read a set list folks are saying "Best Show", etc. This band is a fucking beast that will not be stopped.

Set list:
Daddy Learned to Fly
Marry Me
4th Night of My Drinking
Birthday Boy
Girls Who Smoke
Devil Don't Stay
Women Without Whiskey (a personal favorite!)
Wig He Made Her Wear
Get Downtown
It's Gonna Be (I Told You So)
This Fucking Job
Three Dimes Down!
Sinkhole
I Know Your Daddy Hates Me
Zip City
Santa Fe
Panties in Your Purse (sent out to Mojo Nixon, nice guy, chatted with him before the show)
Flying Wallendas
Hell No I Ain't Happy
Self Destructive Zones
Lookout Mountain
E:
Tornadoes (Patterson made a nice little speech about Nashville, asking folks to donate etc. This band = Good people)
One of These Days
18 Wheels of Love
Shut Up and Get on the Plane

Did anyone notice any tapers or have any connects?

This was my first dbt show and would love to have it preserved.

Thank you for your time,
Chilliams
