Get to Oxford early for the show.

Post by ChicoHarris »

Patterson and Jay will be performing an acoustic show Friday afternoon across the street from the Lyric Theatre at Bottletree Bakery.
Daniel Morrow is an Oxford music lover who spends a lot of money to stage early evening shows in the grand hallway of his 19th century Oxford square office building. The shows are phenomenal, professionally recorded on audio and video and can be checked out here:

Daniel has started doing a few afternoon shows at other locations and this one is at Bottletree Bakery, which will be a great sounding venue and has lots of seating and very nice folk art.

Body of Daniel's announcement:

Hi everyone,

This Friday at 4:00, we'll host a special Music in the Hall at Bottletree
Bakery featuring Patterson Hood and Jay Gonzalez of the Drive-By Truckers.

This will be a 30 minute acoustic set. Admission is $10 or $5 if you have
a ticket to the Truckers' show at The Lyric Friday night.

As I said Friday, MITH members and Kickstarter contributors will receive
priority for tickets, and we will even reserve your seat for you. Doors
will open at 3:30.

It's ok for members to bring a guest or two, but I need to know that as
soon as possible, when you RSVP preferably.

We're so excited to have Patterson and Jay on the show and hope that many
of you can make it.

We'll keep things rolling Saturday night with Sanders Bohlke, the Great
Book of John, and the Gum Creek Killers. Please RSVP for that one now if
you plan to make it.

I can also tell you that our February 9 show is shaping up very well. No
need to RSVP now, but I can tell you that this Oxford Film Festival kickoff
show will feature Robert Earl Reed backed by Jimbo Mathus and Justin
Showah, Lynn Mikeska, and Garry Burnside. I'll be in touch regarding that
one soon!

Be sure to check the front page of the site (musicinthehall.com) as we
release new clips and full shows this week. Young Buffalo's amazing
rendition of "The Chain" is the newest addition; their full set is
available for members. More to come tonight!

Have a great week!

Best regards,
Daniel

This is great news. I am not a member of MITH so I hope that there are tickets available at the door.
