Los Angeles May 7th The Avalon
I know this is a stretch but is anyone going?? A friend and I are going and meeting another from Bakersfield. They haven't played SoCal in a year and a half. I'm pumped and ready for a 3 hour set.

i'm bumping this jus cuz I'm so damned excited for tonight. I've waited forever. The Avalon is in Hollywood next to the Capitol Records building. Used to be The Palace and I've seen tons of shows there. Cool old theater with great view from anywhere. Gonna be a hell of a night, I can feel it.
Stay tuned for a setlist.

Re: Los Angeles May 7th The Avalon
It was a loud, rocking, high energy set. Band was having fun. Cooley was shredding and showin off. Patterson was drenched in sweat and really into it. Told You So kicked ass live. Shonna looked damn hot tonight!! I also thought Walendas was great live and so fuckin loud. Jay was hiding in the back but sounded perfect. Can't believe they went on just after 8:30 and it was over at 10:30. Thank god we were there on time.
My ears are ringing so loud and it's like I have earplugs in.
Tonight It's Fuckin Great to be Alive!!!!

Re: Los Angeles May 7th The Avalon
There was a dude just to the right of me who had a camera running on a little mono-pod type deal for most of the show, so I suspect we'll get some youtube footage out of this one sooner or later.
Live music and Bud Light in a can - that works for me.
I was worried it was going to be an L.A. crowd with just a lot of people looking around, not really into the band, but I would surmise that most of the audience were fans.
There were only a few of us really working for the encore, though - the band came out almost right away even though the crowd wasn't screaming for it - I assume it's because of the club needing to open...
I agree with lajakes - Shonna was on her game and she tore the shit out of I Told You So...

Re: Los Angeles May 7th The Avalon
a few from my phone
this one's not too clear but it was a classic Cooley moment. right as the encore ended he held up his guitar and threw the devil horns. He seemed to be having a great time all night.

Looks like we were standing just about next to each other the whole night - I see the backs of some familiar heads... I must have been just a person or two over to your right.
