Re: My DBT Europe Pics
Crowds were great!
Manchester and Birmingham were sold out. The rest of the shows I saw were nearly sold out, I think. The people seemed enthusiastic, there was a lot of singing along and cheering at certain moments. For the most part, crowds were much more respectful than here. For example, in London, we were on the rail. Our buddy Joe ran to the restroom shortly before the encore, and just by saying excuse me, got right back to the rail, no problem! Nobody made a move for his spot while he was gone. Most shows here we spend half the show guarding our spot and wouldn't dream of leaving the rail, especially mid-set, we'd never get back! Very minimal ass-hats too, crowds were polite. The weird thing in Glasgow was during the first set, the bouncers came around and passed out glasses of water to everyone on the rail, and whoever else they could reach. They did it again during the encore. It was so nice!
DBT seems to have pockets of fans like they do here, but seem to be on the rise. Selling out shows, and doing really well on merch are good signs, I think.
I noticed they didn't play Girls Who Smoke in th 6 shows we saw, I wonder if they were worried about offending somebody, or if they just didn't happen to feel like playing that song?

A lot of my favorite "alt-country"/americana related bands (and yes I'd say DBT are lumped in that category) seem to have bigger followings in Europe than they do in America. Strange.
E quindi uscimmo a riveder le stelle.

This has been happening for years; in the 80's Green On Red, the del-Lords, Long Ryders, Dream Syndicate were all huge in Europe while they couldnt do shit here. Today, Chuck Prophet, Steve Wynn, Dan Baird and The Yayhoos all tour Europe more than the U.S.
Looks like a bunch of little whiny fucksticks to me

It's largely true of jazz and blues as well, and of course the british invasion was basically british bands making Americans aware of american music.

Ok, last part...
Groningen, 11-18-2010
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2 ... =548382681
Me before heading to my last show. Little did I knew how I will feel at the end of it in a few hours...
Soundcheck
"Angels And Fuselage"...
Bradm the last one to go...
The haunting giutar feedback alone on stage...The end of the song and my six shows. What a moment...
Already posted my pics with the band after the show, when I said goodbyes. So this is it...Thank you DBT for the music and everything above it!!!

Great pics, Tomer and thanks for keeping those of us who couldn't make it over to Europe posted. I hope you can make it to the US some time in 2011 for some shows. That way you can meet the rest of the 3DD American contingent. And we will try and find some kosher barbeque for a pre-show meet up.

Thanks. And yeah, I hope to see them someday in the US as well...I'll need to save a lot of money again for this, and also the time off and all. And I eat everything, it's ok (I'm not Religious person. Used to be...for many years I'm not ).

Yes, I think she was either wearing a skirt or a dress more often than not during the 6 Europe shows we saw. My pics are up on Facebook in case you're interested:

I thought she looked totally hot in the cop uniform on Halloween.

I like the challenge of finding a kosher barbeque. I am pretty sure that brisket is kosher. You haven't eaten until you've tried some Texas style barbeque brisket.

Brisket is kosher if you use kosher meat.
