Peekskill 2-17-11
Fired up for this. 20 minutes from my house. Good beer at the Peekskill Brewery!!!!
Re: Peekskill 2-17-11
Damn, I wish they could have scheduled this venue for the spring, summer or fall. Peekskill is just across the river from Bear Mountain State Park. Perfect for a motorcycle ride/rock show.

Re: Peekskill 2-17-11
This has the potential to be my first DBT show in a long effin' time. Just passed the 2 year anniversary since my last show. Yes, years.
Looks like a cool venue but are they gonna let a rock show rip loose in there? Doesn't seem like a beer spilling, fist pumping kind of place.

Bill can't get a ticket from work so I'm trying to get one for him.
Is section 101-F an okay seat? It looks okay but wondered where everyone else got seats.

Yeah i checked out the seating chart, but was just wondering when/if they'd released the first 6 rows yet? Did anyone else get a ticket there?
The only thing i know about Peekskill is that's where Natalie and Tootie lived!

A few miles north of where Don and Betty Draper lived.

That's gonna end your drought, beebs. Good for you.
I have no idea where to stay, but I know where to stay off of: the damn Taconic Pkwy. Isn't that near Peekskill? Some beautiful scenery but a damn scary highway and not one I'd like to be driving on after a rock show.
Sorry for the digression. Carry on.

OK folks, we're about 30 days out. I'm in the process if trying to get info on a room and eats right now. Not sure if any other 3dd folk will be staying in town but I'll post whatever I find here. So far it looks like the theater is in a pretty quiet part of town and accommodations and food within walking distance might be challenging.
Can you tell I'm a little excited? Been hanging on every word of the Athens thread all weekend.

As opposed to the Bourbon Street/South Beach scene on the other side of Peekskill?

Can't wait to meet you! I'm excited for this show. We're not sure if we're staying in town or hitting the road after the show, if you find any info, we would sure appreciate it! We're heading to the DC shows, so we might drive part way to DC after this show, or not at all, depending on how the weather is that day and the next.
See you soon!

Looks like Marah opening for both this show and York.
So, don't pregame too long.

Not yet. You're the local Tweed. Got any recommendations? Anywhere good to hang close to the venue?

Doesn't show this date/venue on their site. At least not yet.
Anyway, I'm totally unfamiliar with the band. Should I be excited?

Marah has always gotten a lot of love in Springsteen circles as a really good blue collar rock band. They're from Philly and have been around for a while (longer than DBT I'd guess) and years ago were supposedly on the cusp of making the big time, but it didn't happen. Though I've never seen them they've got a rep as a great live band.

Saw them open in Jackson, Mississippi and enjoyed the part I saw.

I live 30 minutes from there and don't spend a whole lot of time in downtown peekskill. I'm going to get some dinner at the Firehouse Grill, 50 Welcher Ave, Peekskill. Good food, great beer selection. Less than 2 miles from the paramount. http://nyfirehousegrille.com/
Re: Peekskill 2-17-11
What are the odds that this show sells out? I'm hoping to go but it would be a game-time decision.
