Plane reservations booked but not yet purchased.

Hotel reservations made. I'm at the Courtyard. Last year, I was able to call back and asked for the DBT special rate when it was announced and they did that for me with no problem, fyi.

Tickets for me and several of my closest friends will be purchased tomorrow. Or at least one dear one.

Ok good people, question. Seeing as I am unable to rent a car, can anyone vouch for this shuttle service:

http://aaaairportexpress.com/

to get me from the Atlanta airport to Athens? Or offer any other suggestions to get me from point A to point B (and back, for that matter)? I would appreciate your help very very much!

I'll have to look the name up. Athens has a shuttle for $40 one way. They run it every other hour. GW could tell you more about the details on here. I'll try nd find further details.

Here's another possible option:

http://www.flygeorgiaskies.com

I believe they offer flights between ATL & Athens for $39.00.
I wasn't born in the south but I got here as soon as I could!!

Anyone from the northeast up for driving? Fifteen hours, two tanks of gas each way and no rental cars. Lemme know if you would prefer this to a flight which, that time of year, can be cancelled due to weather.

I would love to but I am staying with friends and going down a day early and staying a day later. 15 hours in a car, even I would run out of things to talk about

Flights out of Boston on $200 round trip so not so bad. Plus I am not paying for a room. This is going to be my first "real" vacation in quite some time, so new ink coming my way as well!!! So excited about that too, music, friends, new ink, bbq and hanging with locals so i will get to see the real Athens!!! very excited

And while the round trip from Little Rock to Atlanta isn't too pricey right now, I'd be up for a road trip, but not in my '93 Dodge Dakota.

Everything is now booked and, more importantly, paid for. I'll pick up tix to the shows and then all that's left is to count the days.

Used them two years ago from ATL to Athens, I think it was $50 one way. Van left I think every 15-30 minits. dropped me right at the Days' front door. Don't know how they plan pick-up and rides back to Atl. 'cause I had a ride back that Sun. No problems, plus a real treat of a redneck lady driver, actually was kind of fun(for a van ride that is....Don't go planning your kids B-day party there or anything :D )

AAA Shuttle is the only shuttle service from Atlanta to Athens (Y'all are talking about the same thing prices have just gone up to $45 one way). It's a good shuttle, drops off and picks up at quite a few hotels in town. It does run at very specific times and does fill up so make advance arrangements and be sure to check the times carefully. I have never done the short flight with georgia skies but I have heard that you may have to claim your baggage and go thru security again in Atlanta - so allow for time and be sure to check with the booking agents.

Tickets bought and room booked for Friday & Saturday nights. I hate that will call was the only option, though. I like to have them in hand.
