Got tickets to all 3 shows. Got my room @ the Courtyard for $79 a night (a veritable bargain). Got my ticket to the Happy Ending. I've got everything but good intentions. Let's get this party started already, before I burst @ the seams.

"Later still, during those zany Jimmy Carter years, they, as folks with good intentions sometimes do, moved to Florida to be closer to Phil's family. Unfortunately within six months all of Phil's family there died and they were left stranded in that God-forsaken place. So are all of you guys gonna whine about the setlists again this year? I'd be expecting a heaping helping of GGB.

They have a large catalog to pull from and three nights to do so. They are best when they take advantage of that and it feels more spontaneous and true.

I'd hope for something different than last year. I'd expect to hear the new stuff, but if its heavy on the new stuff let's not duplicate the old stuff night after night. But I'm going to have an excellent time nonetheless, whatever they play.

I thought they were playing all of GGB the first night, didn't I read that somewhere?
I did not complain last year, nor do I expect to this year. No matter what they play I'll have fun.

We're not going at all so no whining from me. Which is one of the reasons I'm not going... because I know I would whine.

I am hoping for a 32 minute version of "Dark Star" into "You and Your Crystal Meth".

don't mean to get off-subject, or insinuate anything, but that line from "Hell No.." is one of the only drug references in the DBT catalog (or it may not be, but thats how I've always took it)

It's very possible that Slayer doesn't mix up their setlists....

And when does critiquing only apply to praise (perpetual ass-kissing sessions)?

Merry Christmas

A curious post from the likes of you, Smitty. There's drugs all over DBT records! Boys From Alabama has a drug reference in the opening line. Never Gonna Change is pretty much all about drugs. Outfit contains a drug reference in its chorus. Let There Be Rock. Greenville to Baton Rouge
. Zoloft...it's early in the morning. Is there something I'm missing here...?

Happy Holidays. God Bless us, every one. And all that shit.

Yeah, that's where I found out the original colors were something like green & gray. My sister-in-law is one of the dancers in the opening scene.
