Patterson songs on next DBT album?

Post by ukdan2999 »

Patterson talkes about the next album (coming out fall 2010) and a few of these tracks during the Caledonia Lounge set, but does anyone know if they will make the cut?

Go Go Boots and The Fireplace Poker are great songs. I like the other two as well.

The Fireplace Poker
Go Go Boots
Ray's Automatic Weapon
I Used To Be A Cop
- Just a rope around his neck and the kitchen table turned on its side.

I guess Go Go Boots, cause it's the album title...And perhaps the other as well Why not? They're always writing a lot stuff and waiting for the right time. Guess a few Big To-Do outtakes will be there as well.

There was a recent Cooley interview where he said it's being pushed back to next year.

I love Used to be a Cop. The electric version from 1/14/2010 is phenomenal, and if that is indicative of the R&B flavour that has been talked about for Go-Go Boots, the album will be great.

I hope "Ran off and left" her makes the cut for Go Go Boots. I just recently found out that this was written for Vic Chestnut.
I heard it live in Athens and they played it at SXSW. Killer Tune.

I also like "Used to be a Cop".

Two killer tunes, still yet to come!

As a member of the clergy, I think "Go Go Boots" kicks ass.
I have nowhere else to go. There is no demand in the priesthood for elderly drug addicts

"I Ran off And Left Her" is actually a Chesnutt cover, original is on "Drunk" I believe.

"Standing in the Sunshine" is the song written for Vic

That song creeps me out in the best way possible, makes "The Wig He Made Her Wear" seem like a mistermeaner...

it paints such a vivid picture for the ears to see.
you can feel the sticky alabama humidity.
you can smell the stench of pure evil.

it's one of those "chill bumps" songs >
