Nashville, TN 6/18
I have decided I cannot wait until Lollapalooza in August for a DBT show. Just looked at plane fares and I can afford Nashville. Anyone planning on this one?
Bought a ticket just in case. I'm pretty sure I'll hit this one.

Well, we were supposed to be on the plane heading to Nashville tomorrow but the gig got canceled on account of the Jools Holland thing sooooo, we're seeing if we can swing the June date. The DBT tickets are covered and will be honored for that date, but we'll have to rebook hotel accomodations ( had booked w/ Hotwire ) and pay the difference in air fare. All this is pretty close to Mountain Jam BUT it is Gretsch's birthday.. mmm.. decisions, decisions and of course now finding out that TC is going..

Planning on getting up to nashville for this one.
There is a Flying Saucer two blocks away to pre-game and catch some grub before the show.
Plus its not too far from Broadway where all the cool bars are....gonna be a great time!
Check out Grimeys records on 8th ave. if you can , cool place good records, and good people.

Me, me, me!!! I figure this is my last chance to see them again before they start their summer gig with TP and then they are off to Europe. I couldn't have waited until Jan 2011 Athens. I would have gone into deep depression! Three months is about the longest I can tolerate with out my DBT fix.

I think helmespc and myself will be heading down now. We're driving and down from Cincy and coming back all in the same day which will make for a lovely road trip, but totally worth it!

April...I assume you and Gretch (sp?) will be there on Sunday also. I am pretty sure we'll be there as well. Tarrytown on Friday (me thinks), the Ramble on Saturday and Mountain Jam on Sunday. All in all, a dandy road trip. Enjoy the Jam and hope for sun.

Re: Nashville, TN 6/18
We live about 8 miles from the Cannery.
We had thought about getting everyone to meet up at a bar or maybe at Yazoo (Nashville's brewery) before the show.
Or even hosting a pre-game at our house.
Not sure if anyone would be interested, but if so, we could take a picture at some kind of pre-game event.
It might be pretty cool to take a picture at Riverfront Park since a month earlier, it would have been completely underwater.
I could find pictures from the flood of the Riverfront flags completely submerged, and then you could pass before and after photos to all your friends.
With Opryland being closed, we're scrambling for income, but I'd be more than happy to be a host and set up a cooler or two.

Re: Nashville, TN 6/18
If I could get a head count about 5 days before the show, I can either give the brewery a heads up about how many of us are coming or can setup at our place ahead of time.
You can discuss amongst yourself and let me know if any of that sounds like a good time.
On Saturday, if anyone wants to tour any flood damaged areas and see places that the news didn't cover. Me and the old man will glady show you all of the places that got damaged and point out where the water lines were. (Can fit 5 in his car, 5 in mine). Kind of morbid I know, but it's no different than going to New Orleans post-Katrina to see what happened.
Everything is still open in Nashville, minus Opryland, Opry Mills (thank God almighty. Hate that damn mall), Big River Brewery (on 1st/broadway), and other businesses along 1st, in Bellevue, and in Franklin. Broadway is still cranking every night. No worries there.

Are you needing a place to say yes?
I'd hate to know someone was driving that far if they didn't HAVE to.
We have a guest bedroom and couch you are more than happy to crash on.
Message me if you are interested.

Re: Nashville, TN 6/18
Henry + any other Nash attendees interested,
I'm thinking we could start at 5:30 at our house. Doors open at 8pm, so we can start heading towards the show then.
I'll send an Evite with directions to everyone - message me your email address.
Oh and we're lame and don't have a grill or a microwave.....
We do it old-fashioned style with just an oven and stove top. (Long long story. Saving up to buy a Big Green Egg anyway).
We'll provide BBQ and ice/coolers/buckets. If everyone else could bring something; there is a Kroger on the way.
I'll add a list of things to bring on the Evite so we don't duplicate efforts.
I've always wanted to host some 9B/TDD folks.
