We'd actually spent much of the last week in Athens, in our first gentle foray into the world again post-vaccination. Between sips of Tropicalia we were scoping out locations for the Friday afternoon Hangout and raffle, as Max Canada is no more (and has become a restaurant catering to the Chads and Beckys of UGA Greek life). Little Kings is a leading contender.

For better or worse it seems like most of the band-related discussion has migrated over to Facebook these days...

Yeah and not just the DBT-related stuff but pretty much all the discussion that used to happen here at 3dd now happens over on FB. There's subgroups and daily threads over there for all the stuff we discuss here - there's a heathen pet group, a heathen drinking group, one for movies, one for politics, a daily morning coffee thread, morning music, etc. And most of the activity on FB comes from folks who used to be active posters here. I still love what we have here on 3dd but FB has really taken away most of what this site (and all message boards, really) used to be.

Wait, there's a Heathens drinking group?
I've never been overly active on FB. Usually a glimpse and maybe a post or a response or two in the morning and another glimpse, etc., after work. Coincidentally, I've purposely upped my lurking here and may actually work up to active status.

I am looking to make my first appearance at Homecoming next January! It has been a bucket list item for awhile now and I am excited to finally give it a go. Living up in Chicago and with 2 kids under 10, making it down hasnt been easy the last several years. But now they are a bit older and a little more manageable for the grandparents to watch for a couple nights. I was able to lock down Friday night tickets, but not Saturday unfortunately. Hoping to find a pair for Saturday, but coming down with Mrs. Chitown-trucker either way. Hyatt Place is booked!
Hope to meet some of you Heathens at Heathens wknd!

Same here. Jazz Fest canceling for October has really dampened my optimism about all the tickets I’m holding. Makes the SLC rainout that much more disappointing.

I just received my third Covid shot (booster). I sought out the shot for many reasons, mostly because I don’t have a spleen, but I was definitely thinking about January (I have to remind myself not February) when I got the shot!
