5/25 - Gears & Guitars Fest, Winston Salem

Post by Tyler »

Saw this date posted... DBT apparently headlining the middle day of this 3 day festival.

As of right now this is the only full band date on the East Coast until September.

They just announced the full lineup...

Devon Gillfinnian opening (not familiar with, looks like a blues guy?)

NORTH MISSISSIPPI ALLSTARS are in the middle... perhaps hijinks will insue?

Nice! That makes up a wee bit for not being able to make the Northeast run later in the summer.

We're probably going. I'm not a huge fan of festivals but I'll make an exception for the Dickinsons and DBT.
Turn you demons into walls of goddamned noise and sound.

It's not a festival- just three nights of three bands. There's a bike race through downtown during the day, and music at night. Bailey Park is pretty small, too. Just a bandstand at the end of a strip of lawn in downtown Winston.

There are several options. Two decks, and a lot that will probably fill up first. iCloud is being slow, so I can't post the sceencap yet. Google "Bailey park winston salem parking", and you'll find it. You can see the decks in the photos I posted.

edit- here it is...

You are correct, I misspoke. I am familiar with the area, we used to live in Winston before moving to Raleigh in 2012. My fiance grew up in Winston.

Unfair! Why does Patterson get his own parking deck?

The best way that I know of is in bed, preferably with all concerned present. Good communication is the key to healthy relationships!
