I imagine DD&N segued into Guitar Man, not Sounds Better. Also, I think this would be my favorite WOS set.

Thank you! I originally had them slotted the way you suggested, but then started thinking in my head that I heard Sounds Better first, but I do think you're right. Thanks for also adding that so far this would be your favorite WOS set, during it I was thinking how it was a little unique compared to some of the others. I also was thinking of how I should have gone to Buffalo the night before after I saw that setlist posted just above the one I did. This band is so good...look at how different, yet great, both of those sets are. Last night was definitely a DBT fan's DBT set and Buffalo's (Lewiston's) seems like one that might draw in some new ones.

Speaking of fans has anyone found the TTB crowd to be a little unenthusiastic? They're the only thing that dampened the experience for me. I was right down front and I know these people are there to see the final act, but I wish they had been a little more into it (although I also blame live nation for booking this show at this venue--it was oversized and tickets were overpriced--a pretty bad combo.)

Another setlist related note, I'm thinking a new Cooley song (Slow Ride Argument?) was scheduled to be played after Babies in Cages, but Cooley flashed the shooting pool signal to the band and they kicked into Shit Shots instead. I don't think he was just helping other members see what was on the list, because he did it repeatedly and made sure everyone saw (and I'm pretty certain they were going from a list as I saw Matt trying to peek at it a couple of times and also seems with the strict time requirement perhaps it's a mandate from above).

It just so happens I'll be in the Denver area this weekend visiting some old friends and enjoying all the FREEDOM Colorado has to offer.
Since I'm staying only minutes from Red Rocks perhaps I can persuade the gang to swing by and hang out in the parking lot like we used to do
in our carefree college days. Ahhh… youth. I remember it well. Maybe we get in, maybe we don't. I'll try to keep a setlist if possible.

Got to admit, it wasn't the boys best night. Cooley forgot the words to a few songs and the crowd was less than enthusiastic. I had fun though. Always nice to see them. The place was a really odd set up. The front was standing room and the middle had a small U shaped seating section with no seats. You needed to bring your own chairs. The lawn was off to the side not directly behind. If you sat too low on the lawn you couldn't see the stage and were starring at a screen all night and the back to peoples heads. I did see a few truckers fans who were into it but not many.

Southaven setlist:
Ramon Casiano
Darkened Flags
Surrender
Lookout Mtn
Kinky Hypocrite
KKK
Ronnie & Neil
First Air
Annette
Slow Ride
Babies in Cages (with Cody Dickinson of North Mississippi All-stars on washboard)
Birthday Boy
Grand Canyon (with Marcus King Band's keyboardist on the organ and Jay full time guitar)

Gotta say, I was pretty impressed. It probably helped that, due to them being an opening act, my expectations were rather low. Plus, the show was at an amphitheater, and I have never had good luck with energetic shows at amphitheaters. But the boys came out with lots of energy and did their thing, and did it well. The venue allowed fans to gather at the rail, so I am sure that didn't hinder anything. By the time they played Grand Canyon there were probably 100 fans down front.

I got there early enough to hear sound check, and I swear I heard Patterson do two songs I have never heard before. Granted, I was not inside the venue, but with it being an amphitheater I could hear things pretty well. Admittedly, they might have been covers I didn't recognize. They also played parts of Tornadoes and English Oceans at sound check, neither of which were performed last night, so who knows what they were messing around with.

Oh, and the sounds that Cody Dickinson can make on a washboard are dumbfounding.

By all accounts this has seemed to be a really successful tour for the boys. I'm glad they've gotten some exposure and that they seem to have fun. Shed tours have not always been kind to them but this seems to have broken that pattern. Good on them.

Also really cool to see Patterson on lead vocal to close out the entire tour (along with Cooley on guitar) with "Rockin' in the Free World" to finish off TTB's encore. Great show all around.

Wow! What a blast and what a venue. I had been to Red Rocks before but had never seen a show there.
We even stuck around for most of Tedeshi/Trucks. They were surpisingly good. It's been years since I had seen them.
However, next time I think I will have Uber drop me off at the top as compared to taking the stairs!
