We could refer to Neff's days with a beard as the Grizzly Adams era.

if the dude isn't going to learn any rock star stage moves, the least he can do is stop looking like a marketing consultant


funny you say that, as many of us at the Fillmore and Tahoe noticed that he has finally embraced all the cliched guitarist moves, perhaps even embraced them too much! He was great at the Fillmore, getting down on his knees while soloing with every single one of the "guitar faces" you've ever seen. And as for his playing, I wasn't the only one who thought he'd been listening to a lot of Dickey Betts of late
