Re: Jason Isbell-Oct 9 2013 - Georgia Theatre-Athens, GA

Killer show. First time I'd seen them with Sadler and he really brought a lot to the show, especially the Southeastern songs where Jason mostly played an acoustic with Sadler on electric handling the solos etc. Also, my first time at the Georgia Theater which is a beautiful venue with great sound. T...

We will notify you when the corrected song becomes available for download. To thank you for bringing this problem to our...

Re: DBT Albums Week 10 - The Dirty South

Excellent write-up of my favorite Drive-by Truckers album. Interestingly enough, I also discovered them by reading a bunch of rave reviews of the band on a Pearl Jam message board. I had an iTunes gift card, so I headed over and read the album descriptions and decided on TDS and was immediately in l...

Re: Southeastern Limited Edition Vinyl Out Tomorrow

They sound identical to me. I even loaded them up into final cut pro and the audio waveforms appear to be a perfect match. Pretty disappointing, especially after how much I enjoyed the Traveling Alone demo. Maybe I'll shoot an email off to iTunes and see what they say.

Re: Southeastern Limited Edition Vinyl Out Tomorrow

They have a few at Criminal Records here in Atlanta, but I passed on it. I've already ordered the standard vinyl from Jason's site & the mp3's from iTunes (I'm a sucker for bonus tracks) and figured I didn't really need to buy this three times.

Virginia Highlands Fest Atlanta, GA 6/1/13

Really great, free show yesterday from Jason and the band. I was a little bummed that Sadler Vaden wasn't there but I got over it quickly and it ended up being a bad ass show. The early one-two punch of Outfit and Decoration Day really got the crowd going. A little bit of interesting friction happen...

No download code in the one I scored. It's been a crazy weekend and I haven't even been able to listen to mine. My setup ain't great, but if a good rip doesn't surface this week I'll make one.

Re: Isbell in Rome,GA Brew House

They're also, in my opinion, his strongest songs. I'd be really disappointed if I saw an Isbell show without Outfit, Decoration Day or Goddamn Lonely Love. Don't get me wrong, I love most of his solo stuff, too, but there's something about those early songs.

Great write-up, docturk, and I agree totally.

The bass during Go it Alone was insanely overblown and I'm really glad they fixed it so quick.

Re: Isbell in Rome,GA Brew House

Best Isbell show I've ever seen. The band was really tight and super loud up front. The crowd was decent sized and everyone up front seemed really into it and were singing along pretty much all night. Well worth the trip from Atlanta. I'm sure the order is a little mixed up and I may have missed a s...

Re: Isbell in Rome,GA Brew House

Just found out by a huge stroke of luck, I'm off work on Friday and am going to make the trek to this show. Any of y'all been to the brewhouse before? I'm seeing conflicting start times of 8:30 & 9:30. With the travel after work, I probably won't be there until 9. Hopefully, there's an opener. I...

Red Clay Theater Duluth, GA 6/15/12

A really great show in a pretty intimate theater in the middle of downtown Duluth. Jason played from 8:15-10:00 and was pretty chatty between songs and seemed to be in a great mood. He did a verse of Bob Seger's "Rock-n-Roll Never Forgets", which is referenced in 3DD.
