Re: Go Go Boots at the Six Month Mark

I yanked Go Go Boots off of Pirate Bay in mid January, (Dont worry I bought it when it came out too) I was very disappointed on the first listen. Then, a strange thing happened. I realized the tracks were out of order on my iPod. I rearranged the tracks in the correct order and listened to it again,...

Re: Brad Morgan

He hasn't smoked for about a year as far as I can tell. I got to talk to him at the Mile High Music Festival last summer and he said he had quit. Kinda miss him danglin' a cig and ripping a solo, but I'm glad he's gonna live longer. Yeah the cigarette dangling from his mouth was always cool, but wi...

Now that would be a great song!

Now that you mention it, that could be a great tongue in cheek Truckers song. Of course, the critics would probably take it literally

Re: Popmatters review of Ugly Buildings, Whores, and Politic

You cant please everybody, and especially not critics. DBT is a great band and we love them for obvious reasons. But of course, their music doesnt appeal to everybody and thats ok. Others dont get DBT just the same way that we dont get Kings Of Leon or whoever. Each to his own. One thing about DBT I...

Re: Hood or Cooley?

Tough call, should be some interesting replies in this thread. The band wouldnt be the same without either one of them. I tend to lean towards Cooley. Better vocalist, better lyricist, better guitar player. Patterson is, however, a much more "prolific" songwriter as one of the commenters p...

Never cared for this song, although it is a pretty good jam live.

Tonights set should be awesome. They always mix it up really well for the 2nd night of a 2 nighter.

Re: The Norva - 6/23

Ive seen them twice in Norfolk including the show last April. Each time I thought they had kind of a dead crowd. Compared to Richmond anyway, but then again its not really fair to compare any city to Richmond. There was quite a few more people there than the first time I saw them in Norfolk, which w...

Re: Re-name the DBT Albums

Thought it would be a fun exercise to see what people would come up with if they could re-name the DBT albums. You can use a song title, a lyric, or anything else you want. *NOTE* I'm not implying anything is wrong with the titles as they are (okay, BTCD is a bit obtuse....) Gangstabilly - Dance On...

Re: Waterloo, June 16

Looks like it could be in high contention for setlist of the year. Did anyone see any tapers? Would love to add this one to the collection. I hope a recording shows up, that is a great set list. One of the greatest things about this band is they never do the same show twice. So many bands hit the r...

Re: DBT on Letterman June 21st

This is from Patterson's Facebook post My apologies to the folks in Wilkes-Barre. I had never been there and was looking forward to the show. Just to be clear, the Letterman thing was actually a separate thing. The Kirby Center is a very big venue and ticket sales were slow and we made the tough dec...
