Oh the problems are definitely with the defense but I think Chicago fans were growing comfortable with the idea of winning shootouts which was looking more and more possible with Cutler. The hope was to make it the playoffs so that the new offense would get some seasoning. No intelligent fan though...

I also wonder about the Lions: Teams that fall flat after big expectations as they did last year sometimes come back the way it was supposed to be the year before.
